Doubt it as it was a seasons sponsorship deal and they need their scaffolding back. Also Bexley Council didnt like it. All gone now last load left PVR little while ago.

Nice while it lasted. Was a positve move by the former chairman, Although clearly a stop gap fix, Must of missed where it was suggested it was a one season solution.
Be nice for some club officials news soon on all things welling to help it looking like more of circus
If anyone is interested there is a post on the NLS forum about mileage from stadium to stadium. Our total mileage will be 4268 which is 9th lowest in the league. Top of the league is of course Truro City on 8708. Time to get cars serviced and rail cards bought.

I've already enquired about Rail cards, there's nothing available to to cover getting down to the West Country apparently..

A big issue next season is who makes the signings for Welling. Different clubs have different approaches to player signings, some clubs let the manager make all the signings, other clubs make all the signings and then give them to the manager, who has had little say in who is signed, and some clubs have a mix of someone doing the signings, while the manager also makes some of the signings.
I used to think it was best if the manager made all the signings, but changed my view, as he may have a very personal view of what to look for in a player, that the next manager may see totally differently, so the whole team would have to change. Whereas if someone else in a fixed position in the club is signing players there is a consistency there, no matter who the manager is. But the downside of players being selected for the manager is the manager may be lumbered with players he doesn't rate, so doesn't play as he thinks "I never wanted you in the first place". I wonder if that was the case last season as lots of the squad seemed to be fringe players. The downside for a manager of having signings made for him is if players he is given aren't good, then he is judged by something actually out of his control.
Last season I was really impressed with player recruitment, yes, inevitably there were a couple of duds, but most worked out really well, so whoever signed them did a very good job of recruitment. So far for next season we have had 5 departures, and 2 confirmed players, so Welling will need to get recruitment right again.
My biggest concern right now for next season is that we have nobody at the club, running the club with any real interest in Welling, only their own agenda or actually know how to run a football club. Since Paul has stepped down two or three things have already happened (that I know of). And they seem trivial, but to us as fans it's more questions to be answered really.
1) As we all know, the covered end has come down. If Paul was still there I have no doubt that would still be there. Are there any other plans for it again or are we just back to getting wet?
2) Which maybe less have realised or know about is that the McDonald's signs in the E&B stand have all gone. This is because we owe E&B money and they've now got their own stadium sponsorship, which means any money McDonald's paid us some will have to go back.
3) Until monies owing to E&B they will not allow us to use there changing rooms. So where does that leave us? Porta cabbins? Or jumpers for goalposts?
Last year we were hit with a 25k unpaid bill. Wasn't disclosed what for but I believe or guess it was a tax bill, howard found the money down the sofa and the club was saved from going pop, as we've been reminded by feeney many times in interviews
But as time goes on I really struggle to believe it wasn't no more than he felt well he either loses it all or keeps his plans alive and gets the money back from developments down the line.

Our confirmation statement is overdue, find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/08055420 There was nothing in the last accounts to suggest a £25,000 tax debt, which makes one wonder about the accuracy of the accounts, as if that debt appeared out of nowhere who knows what else financially damaging is hidden from sight.
We could be a potential goldmine, playing in such a heavily populated area, but poor selection of managers means annual managerial replacement has held the club back. I noticed Taunton retained all 16 players in their squad, I wish we had the ability to retain our squad instead of always rebuilding each season, as consistency is a key to a successful club.

I am astounded that we owe E&B anything. Them being lodgers I should have thought it the other way round. I agree with all of the above. There is a lack of communication on the fundamental areas that affect the Club and since the former chairman left the silence has been deafening. Nothing on the website or twitter of any significance, somebody other than JH needs to step up to the plate and quickly before we start hemorrhaging further. And by the way the front of ground adjacent to the road is a tip. Half painted boards and weeds which get more and larger as the days go on. I should offer to weed it myself if I knew who I was weeding it for!

----- Maybe we do, maybe we don't, but I know 100% that they are claiming we do. And that my 3rd point is how they are looking to resolve the issue until matters are cleared up.

----- Well they say its the volunteers who are the real people who run clubs such as ours and i know we've had a great group of such people. But I'd like to see that stop until things are cleared up and the people in charge realise the importance of things.
