As a bit of a positivity: my daughter has been collecting autographs from the players and staff before games and every one of them has been friendly, polite, and really happy to sign. We've both had the feeling that the players value the fans and appreciate the support.
Not a massive thing but it makes her day almost as much as a home win! Thanks to all the lads who've signed - a few more to collect!

This is my son's first season of watching a team regularly play, so I asked him what he had learned from watching our games, and he said he'd learned how hard it is to play football. That is so true, it has been an eye opener to me just how competitive it all is, and how one has to constantly work hard to stay competitive.
As we are coming to the end of the season I know lots of our guys will soon leave for one reason or another, that is how football is. Football can be quite thankless, so I talked to some of my favourite players at matches, to do that while I still can before it is too late and they may have left, saying how much I enjoyed watching them play and thanking them for what they have done for us. It has been nice and impressive how friendly and approachable they are, happy for a quick chat with a fan. And, bar the odd grinch, the same applies to fans and club members, I had a talk with Matt and Polo at the latest match, just to ask how they had seen the season, as I've only seen this season, so haven't got much to compare it with, so was interested in their much broader perspective and they were both helpful, which I appreciate.
