As you have said Mark many times. Putting the ball in the netty thingy is our problem. Several chances missed.

Yep!

I wonder what next season will bring?

Eventually the trap door will open if we don't improve

Just remember where we were last year on a fraction of the budget though.

I was there with a very good number of Wings fans today. For most of the 1st half we were better than the buns. Im pretty sure they went in at HT thinking they had dodged a bullet. We failed to convert a number of chances and actually played some very nice football. Unfortunately creating chances and failing to take them bites you on the Johnny Hartley. The buns wandered into our penalty area and scored at pretty much their only clear opportunity of the 1st half. The 2nd half we werent as good but still had a few decent chances. Of course the buns popped into our 18 yard box a couple of times and scored. Game over. Disappointed isnt the word as we played well for most of the game. Dont know how to feel after a 3-0 defeat. mmmmmm We desperately need a 25 goal a year man. Danny Kedwell sort of bloke would suit this team.

We did play much better yesterday and if we took our chances would have been a different story.  Payne did well again and I thought his booking was harsh, he showed us yesterday what might have been.  3-0 flattered St Albans but goals decide games, not performances. Came away from the game happier than I did against Dover, and we got a point there!

I think our general play (particularly in the first half) was probably better than it was against Eastbourne on Monday. Payne is definitely more effective as a target man holding the ball up and bringing others into play and Pattinson was a threat for most of the game. Also Elito had one of his best performances in a Welling shirt for me.

However when supporters pick their paper up this morning the score will still read 0-3. We hit the bar, Nkrumah should probably score and Payne has missed a sitter at the end of the first half. When the second goal went in for St Albans it was game over. We can't rely on the defence keeping us in the game week on week and we need to take some pressure off them.

Chatham won their league yesterday. They're a club on the up on and off the pitch and we will need to be right at it to get through on Tuesday.
