Don't pay too much weight to attendance figures, many clubs include 'Ghost' supporters who are given free tickets but don't turn up!

Not only what Chris states but over 2 games at home we hosted Aveley and Farnborough neither club brought more than we took to Bath. I know a lot of our fans are still away for tomorrows game. I believe club is working towards getting more through the turnstiles and if we can we should try and bring a mate along to aid this.

Chris and Dave, thanks for the reality check about attendance figures, this is all new to me, looking at this in light of your advice, I can now get how other clubs may inflate their attendances to try to make themselves look more popular and successful than they really are. A couple of clubs we have recently played away at after the ame have given a figure of 90 visiting fans (ie us!) and that impressed me, as there aren't that many teams that bring 90 fans to us. And with our current attendances around 600, that hardcore of 90 watching home and away is a big part of our fanbase. Take a bow!
Getting new fans to watch us in on my mind, as we are unbeaten at home in the league for the last 4 months we have played (Feb - April, and August) and playing some quality football, with quality players, yet it feels a bit like a secret only us watching loyal fans appreciate. I've a suggestion about how to increase kids watching that I'll pass to Howard to consider , as kids are so results oriented, win they love it, lose they hate it, but the development is only as good as the number of fans watching, and we are just not attracting enough young fans or families so need to fix that.
"One major complication with the plan is that the freehold to the ground is owned by Bexley Council. The Greenwich Wire has established through a freedom of information request that there is a clause in the lease, which runs until 2057, forbidding residential development, meaning the councils Conservative leadership would need to be fully behind the plans and consent to a change in the lease. Park View Road is also designated as metropolitan open land similar to the Green Belt which would be another hurdle to jump if the project was to go before a planning committee."
But reading the above it looks as though the council has the potential flexibility to approve it if they want to, so the pie may yet rise to the sky!
