Great result and so happy for the manager (and supporters).
Danny has so much passion for the club.
The third by Kamala would have done him the power of good and realise that as a 17yr old he has nothing to fear.
White took his second brilliantly, but needs a few more games under his belt to hit full speed.
Alex took his well and would have liked to have seen him in place of the No. 20 when gifted a gilt edged goal from a White cross prior.
Also like to add, thought the centre backs had a good game. Moving the Aussie from RB to CB was a positive move.
There will be a lot of praise on here regarding the performance, but a special mention should be made for the referee.
She had a very good game, letting simple incidents go, but generally doing what they are paid to do.
A complete contrast to that bell end at Taunton last weekend.
Very happy I took us at 2/1.
Slowly starting to gel.
Lets hope this post doesnt come back to bite me in the arse come Monday evening.
COYW.
One thing is clear. We are a better team than results suggest. Still think we need a big nasty ruthless sod up front that can bully the opposition defence. Someone who will occupy the opposition defenders allowing others to get in on goal more often. Anyway well done to all today. Well done to the 3 goal scorers especially young Kamara. 17 years old. He will probably grow and fill out as the season goes on. He will be a handful for many defenders when he grows up thats for sure. Hes one of our own.

Much better team display today. I thought the 1st half Havant just edged but was hoping to go in at half time leading 1-0. Sadly, that wasn't to be. At 1-1 half time it was going to be a 45 minutes game. Instead of crumbling Welling came out fighting and were easily the better team in the 2nd half and deservedly won the match. An excellent goal from David Kamara capped off an enjoyable afternoon. It was the best I've seen Welling United play in many awhile. It was good to see Danny Bloor a little more animated today and pushing the players for more. Long may that continue. Hopefully, this result is the springboard needed to now go on to have a good season. Well done to the players, management, board, fans and Welling United on our 1st win of the season.
Verdict: Good strong performance with a result to show for it. Long may that continue.
Definitely deserved the 3 points today, once again the work rate was there as was in the last 3 games, only this time we took our chances. All three Goals were well taken, delighted for 17yr old David Kamara, his strike was class, especially as he'd only been on the pitch about 60 seconds. Delighted for Danny as he's always been positive and upbeat despite the last few results, the directors area where I nearby sit went crazy when we got the 3rd as did the whole ground. Looking forward to Monday for sure as we can now go to Tonbridge Angels full of confidence...
Great to see justice for Welling, for the first time in four games us getting what we deserved.
Great how positively the players and manager have been in this odd spell. Mohammadu Faal was so impressive for Havant, who are now bottom of the table, yet one of their players was angrily screaming at him after a bad pass, yet we havent got stressed, but just kept calm and focused, with a fantastic positive team spirit.
I was excited by Crossley Lema on his arrival, as he plays in such an attractive attacking way. But against Truro he was disastrous in defence, not closing down opponents so they could easily cross, and that led to goals conceded. He has obviously quickly learned from that, his concentration against Havant was fantastic, he read the game so well.
I also backed us before the game, as Havant's inexperienced manager frankly looks out of his depth, as does the new Eastbourne manager, so I was very confident of the win, despite our misleadingly low position in the table.
I'm off to watch us play Tonbridge tomorrow with my 2 sons, which will be a much tougher match, as I think Tonbridge will end up in the play offs as they have strengthened their side. It will be fun to watch Stefan again! So if you see a bespectacled dad with a bespectacled 11 year old son, and a mid 20s bearded son behind our goal in the second half, that will be me! Chelmsford are around evens to beat Eastbourne, Yeovil slightly better odds to beat Havant, easiest 3-1 double in my life!
Great to be up and running, especially with another game coming so quickly on the back of it. Despite all of the plaudits for the last few performances, a win was definitely need as losing becomes a bad habit and its important not to cut adrift even at this early stage of the season. Just coming off the bottom of the table will lift spirits and if we won by a couple tomorrow we'd be above Tonbridge too. Wouldn't it be fantastic to go from bottom of the league to outside the relegation zone in the space of 3 days?
Very much looking forward to heading down to Tonbridge for tomorrow's game - see you there!
