A well deserved win. Shame we gave them their two goals. But the BEST team won the game. Tristan Abrahams made a lot of difference to our attack. Paps was proper on it today. People we have a good team this season. Lets kick on now no slacking. Fartford didnt have one player Id swap ours for today. They were well beaten at fortress Ponces park. I just want to show my appreciation to Warren Feeney. Thanks for buggering off to Northern Ireland mate its the best thing you ever done for Welling. Much appreciated.
A superb performance from everyone. Odusanya incredible in midfield, Bird and Burchell dealt with 2 monsters up front very well, Lewis White had his best game in a Welling shirt, Jephte Tanga ran Dartford ragged, and Tristan Abrahams, although he didn't score, he gave the midfield an option going forward, linked up well with the wingers, and he was bringing defensers with him that left more space to move in. However, special praise for Paps, 3 great strikes, the second one a superb finish, but for anyone please watch the highlights, the 3rd goal of ours was outstanding.
Incredible today, the atmosphere was great, the players were great. Looking forward to the draw on Monday.

More than 1 person on their forum and twitter has said that our 3rd goal is one of the best they've ever seen at this level! Gutted I couldn't be there, it was killing me all day not to be. But the fact we won and everyone else had a great time makes it feel better to be honest.
Sixteenth of September, a fantastic day,
A new striker signed and it's D*rtford away,
This FA Cup fixture, it's not Ken & Barbie,
But rather a battle, a real local derby.
We're playing quite well, but let's not forget,
The trouble for us, is finding the net,
It can be frustrating, you know how we feel,
Some lovely neat football and still lose one nil.
Today was the day, we thought it might change,
It could be a tap in, or a beauty from range,
Some magic from Tanga or maybe from White,
For as long as we shoot, we'll soon get it right.
We all love our football & we all want some more,
We all love our Wings & we love Danny Bloor,
Well, today was a victory, so lovely to see,
So what about Paps?... Well, he scored three!!
However, special praise for Paps, 3 great strikes, the second one a superb finish, but for anyone please watch the highlights, the 3rd goal of ours was outstanding.

Just like to echo what Jamie has just said, like wise i couldn't be there as away in deepest darkest Sussex this weekend. But young Marmite was there flying the flag & losing his voice for me, said he hasn't seen scenes like that in a long, long time.
Always thought Pap's was an ace player with moments of brilliance to come & sounds like he showed that today....plus with the rest of the team giving their all...WOW!
WELL DONE LADS!!!
Hope the players feed off of how much it means to us to beat that lot down the road, & by the sounds of it sure does now.
Outstanding win!
So looking forward to Eastbourne now. See you Saturday!

I dont mind if Abrahams never scores if he keeps creating space for Paps and others to move into. He has been reduced to long range efforts in recent weeks but twice he scored yesterday from areas that had been created by movement from others.
This is a fantastic result for Welling and Antony in particular. Last season he was totally messed around by the manager, often not making the starting squad and stuck with the out of favour rejects to train separately from the match day squad, then sent out on loan, doing really well, then back and returning to the reject role of an observer, when a sensible manager would have capitalised on his fitness and confidence after coming back from playing so many successful loan matches. That same manager had the brainwave of moving Antony into a defensive role.
It is remarkable with this sort of crap to deal with Antony signed on for a new season with us and that manager, and it is lucky that manager left or yesterday's hattrick hero would have been in defence, unless he was re-signed and then hardly played, made a mug of like Aaron Barnes who that happened to. So it is great that Antony's loyalty to us has been repaid with such a successful game. I have noticed this season he has really taken so much more responsibility than last season, now he is always looking for shooting opportunities, and taking on difficult defence cutting passes, rather than ineffective safe sideways and backwards ones.
A shout out to Danny's calm management, some other managers under pressure of recent bad results have been throwing their toys out of the pram, and saying in post match interviews that is the last time players will play for them, which just creates more negativity and poor team morale, whereas Danny has calmly and positively and realistically go on with sorting out the one area of attack that has held us back.

Agree. Tristan Abrahams had the Dartford centre halves properly occupied all game. We created way more chances from other areas because of his efforts.
Obviously Antony gets the well deserved praise, but there is so much great team skill in the goals, Cameron Green going on one of his Rambo rampages with the ball, "sod this, enough's enough, it is time for us to get a goal!" in the build up to one goal, Lewis very involved in two of the goals, and I loved the third goal, as it was a build up from the keeper passing out, 7 of our 11 players involved in the goal, so a real team goal, with fantastic vision and skill in the passing. When Bath beat us watching the match I was so impressed with the speed with which they broke away for their goal, and watching the highlights saw it took them 11 seconds to get from our halfway line to scoring. Our goal today was even better. Dartford scored two really good goals, so to outscore that was fantastic.
There are calls from Dartford fans for Dowson to be sacked. I think his very heavy handed critical management style will wear his players down, just as happened with us last season when we had the same type of manager. I hope they keep him though, as I'd miss watching his angry despairing interviews after they lose, as it is already great when they are beaten, and additionally so funny when their own manager says post match how useless his team is. Sadly he has been told to cut back on his criticism of his players, and they now edit his interviews.
So excited by the win I forgot to write my review. An excellent performance and a great win. I've waited 8 years to win away at Dartford. Both teams played well and it was fun in the sun. The 3rd Welling United goal was as excellent piece of football play you would see at any level. The new striker brings other players into the game and is a good holding striker and seems capable of playing in Danny Bloor's preferred formation of 1 up front. Well done players, Danny Bloor and Welling United.
