A word of warning - the A3 is closed at the M25 Junction for the weekend of the 3rd Qualifying Round. It's pretty bad at the moment while they build a new junction, but that weekend you will not be able to use it at all. Probably the best alternatives will be either:
M23, A23 to Brighton then A27, M27 towards Portsmouth - be prepared for delays around Worthing and Arundel
M3 then M27 towards Portsmouth - be prepared for delays between Junctions 10 and 12 of the M25
From my perspective it is easier as I live south of that Junction and was looking at the options round that closure if we got a home draw or one inside the M25. Sorry, if that is very personal !

Well basically Peter, if you can have say, about 250 of us stay at your place ,we'll come down on the Friday lol
The full closure for the weekend of our Gosport cup game has now been deferred for 2 weeks, so you will be able to use Junction 10 of the M25. I would still however add 15 minutes to your Journey time as getting off/on the M25 will be slow.
