Apparently in the shock of Bloor getting his final meal and being told he has no future at Eastbourne, he left a list of target transfer names behind on the desk. Eastbourne did OK out of that list, one in particular Bloor hoped would come to Welling. Bloor will be swapping high fives for crowd surfing if he wins. COYW!

A point away from home v a full time side is a great result, and based upon the excellent commentary, could easily have been 3.

Well done to all

If anyone can tell me what their penalty was for please put it on a stamped address envelope and send it to The referees committee. The Vanarama conference league somewhere in cookoo land. Coz everyone I spoke to including EBFC fans have no kin clue

****e game that noone deserved to win. Welling had the better chances overall so I guess the full time team would be more happy? Maybe? Not sure the boro fans can see the difference from last year. Strange they have an arsenal striker on loan and didn't play him - madness in a game like this. We nearly nicked it. Danny will be delighted not to have lost.

Genuinely lovely to see Danny do selfies with Boro kids doing "up the boro" as well as "up the wings". We're lucky to have such a good man at the helm. Eastbourne's loss.

I was in line with it. It was for handball I think, but very very weak. I think the ref was levelling up a pen decision that he didn't give earlier (which I think was a pen). Hope that helps.

Going 2-1 up then being forced into substitutions upset the momentum we had, and gave Eastbourne a lifeline.
The new centre forward we have is an absolute beast both on and off the ball.
Very strong physique, which our younger players should aim for.

One thing I hate is drumming at non league grounds. Saying that I thought the kids drumming at Borough out shone the ****s we have had visiting PVR especially the mob down the road. I think they must have been pre teens all credit to them but please dont bring them to the metropolis.

Another game we should have won. We must now start to be as ****ty as other teams when we are in front. Eastbourne had two yellows for time wasting after their penalty goal at 45+ minutes. Game management is the thing to work on.

Slightly disappointing that we didn't win this game but after going 1-0 down to yet another, seemingly, dodgy penalty we would have taken the draw. The referee must have booked about 8 players in a game where there wasn't one nasty tackle.

Plenty of time wasting from Eastbourne and they would have been happy to have snatched a draw, after going 2-1 down. The equaliser was coming though as we seemed to sit back and looked uneasy for a while.

Abrahams went down a few times, occasionally in hope, but the ref was having none of it. However, his movement is good and his experience will certainly benefit the team. Jephte Tanga is exciting to watch and could improve further. We will be winning again soon.

We definitely matched Eastbourne, at the very least, and they are a full-time side.

The highlights on the Eastbourne channel make me think it was a proper penalty we conceded, as the ref would have taken the view Crossley's foot was too high for his clearance so he kicked the shin of the opponent, though it wasn't a clearly definite penalty, lots of times it wouldn't have been awarded.

The arrival of a striker who gives us a shape in attack had made such a difference, after the Truro game we scored 5 in our next 8 games, once Tristan joined we've scored 5 in 2 games.

That drums at football matches is a puzzle, at Tonbridge one of my sons had an airhorn taken away by security going into the match, my other son asked why did they do that when they let drums in, and I had no answer! They also ban cigarettes, soon anything offensive will be banned, so that will stop Wallop attending! (just kidding, I like Wallop's directness, though I am not so sure Taylor Curran does. The good news for Wallop is his favourite player Taylor Curran will soon be available for us again!)

I would've taken a point before the game against a well organised full time outfit, but looking back now I'm disappointed we didn't hold on for three point's. I thought first half we totally dominated it and I'm going to watch the highlights a few times to see where that penalty came from as we didn't deserve to go in 1-0 ar the break. Second half and I thought we started really slowly, obviously still affected by the penalty decision. Our equaliser was well taken by Jephte Tanga, delighted that he's opened his account as he's probably been our best player so far this season. I thought our second was scored by Dominic Odusanya but apparently Abrahams got the final touch to make it 2-1. As I say ,shame we couldn't get the win as we more than matched them over the 90 minutes. This team is playing some good football and it's been great to watch, special mention to our fans who once again got right behind Danny and the team. Also to Eastbourne supporters who gave Danny a fantastic reception before the game, its not often you see that from both sets of fans and it was great to see

Another excellent game to watch with good football played by both sides. I agree it wasn't an overly nasty match but there were lots of niggly fouls from both teams and time wasting from Eastbourne Borough so I wasn't surprised there were so many booking. It is a pleasure to watch Welling play this season because the style of play is much better. I thought Welling were unlucky to concede the penalty because for the life of me I couldn't see what it was given for. I think everyone was baffled by that decision. It was a pity we conceded an equaliser with just 4 minutes remaining. I still believe draws on the road are good results. Home wins and as many draws and away wins are possible and the team will be in good shape. I am still concerned by the lack of points and our league position. We must turn performances into points and results but I am confident that now we have a striker who can play upfront on his own and bring players into the game, which is the style and formation that Danny prefers to play, that the wins will come and we will climb the league table.

Verdict: Still happy

Hi Nigel,

I can't make the Gosport Borough game but Gary Bonner is going so if you give the programme to him that will be fine or I'll see you at the Farnborough home game on the 7th if you prefer. Can I also be cheeky and remind you about the photocopy of the Dartford away team sheet please.

Many thanks

Alan
