£5625 in the bank and a guarantee of £3125 if we don't make it past BW. Fingers crossed for a £9k win and 1st rounder.

Although we didn't come to life until Gosport scored, we played some good football tonight. After going 3-1 up, we gave them a lifeline in the 2nd half when they pulled one back to make it 3-2. The sending off made it easier for us and we could have scored a few more, but ran out comfortable 4-2 winners in the end.

We area good team. We do however really need to put our domination of most games into goals especially in the league. It was a very enjoyable game tonight and its so good to watch. Well played Gosport but lets be honest Welling were so much better over both games. COYW.

Before the game last night their joint manager gave an interview previewing the match and looking back on the first game at their ground. www.gosportboroughfc.com/videos/pre-match-thoughts--joe-lea-194198.html Joe Lea is 25, their other joint manager Pat Suraci is 24. Although he is doing his best to be positive you can tell he was really disappointed with the result at their place, as it was such a missed opportunity, as taking the 8 minutes of extra time into account, they were against 10 men for 45 minutes, yet only drew. As one of their fans said to me, they were outplayed by 10 men. That was largely due to them not taking advantage of having an extra man.

Last night we were against 10 men, yet we took full advantage, passing the ball around to wear them down, and giving them a lesson in how to take advantage of having an extra man, so we won by two goals against 10 men. They went a goal ahead in both their matches but didn't take full advantage. So although we won the match last night, the fantastic second half away at Gosport where we were so positive with just 10 players was where the match was won.

Tristan scored 3 goals in the two cup games against Gosport, it is just remarkable what a difference having this final piece in our team jigsaw has made. Having seen a National League game recently I didn't see a massive difference between our division and that one, so we have a fair chance against Boreham Wood, as the league table is deceptive as it includes our 4 losses in a row at the start of the season, but since then it is P9 W4 D3 L2 so we are in form!
