I have just been told by Barry Hobbins that his mother Pam has passed away today. Many of the older members will remember Pam serving up teas etc from both under the stand and from a burger van. I know we will be thinking of Barry and his family at this time. For those not aware Barry asked me to let you know Pam has been suffereing from Leukemia for a while now I have asked Barry to let me know of any arrangements in due course.

I remember Pam and Steve doing the burgers and cheese rolls under the main stand, great days. Wonderful what the Hobbins family had done for this football club, very sorry to hear this news and many condolences to Barry and the family
Very sad news about Pam passing away. I had very similar memories of first coming to PVR and Pam and Teddy working in the tea bar under the main stand.
Pam did so much around the club along with the rest of the Hobbins family. My thoughts are with Barry and the family.
Sorry to hear that Pam has passed away. We also remember those days when Pam served up burgers from the van. Thinking of Barry & family at this sad time.
Very sad....Pam always had a smile (and a scowl if we were a bit rude as youngsters)
Famous for the soup which started the season as a very light clear liquid and ended the season as a dark lumpy gloopy stuff....she laughed when we suggested it was the samd soup for 9 months
Such sad news. I have known Pam since I was 15 years-old and Barry was a toddler. She was always so kind to us as schoolkids who used to do jobs around the ground during the holidays, bringing food and drink throughout the day.
Was similarly kind when I started bringing my son to games.
Such great memories of away days in the 80s when we used to all travel on the train and local transport to away games and we had such laughs together.
If possible I would like to pay my respects when the arrangements are made.
RIP Pam - never forgotten
