Wonder if the will keep the remainder of his sports analysis team?
I certainly hope so.
They also appear to be getting a decent wedge from their forward joining Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Just know they are going to have a bounce with a new manager.

On the basis of his incredible success with Havant, hopefully King gets the Eastbourne job.

The owner has beaten about the bush, and said about the decision To me this is abject failure. When we appointed Mark, we knew this was a tough project and it got tougher week by week. With the confidence in the group very low, I feel we have no choice but to make a change." Abject failure? Oh well, at least they have a nice new crest.

I was at the Eastbourne Worthing game. Woeful from Eastbourne - welling have never played that bad this season. Although Mark Beard was present, everything was left to the assistants so I guess he was informed before the game. Danny Bloor was in the crowd - hopefully in prep for the Feb game right?

The grass isnt always greener on the other side. You learn a lot about people when they are under pressure, and far from cracking under the pressure of being in the relegation zone for all season bar a week or so in August, or getting angry and defensive, Danny has been a rock in management.

But the fans have also been equally impressive, totally standing by Danny, not adding to any issues he already has to deal with, and that is because this is such a knowledgeable fan base, who understand the issues he has inherited, and patiently understand these will take time to get right.

I recently saw a supportive Twitter message from Gary Fiore, so the board also see the good work being done in difficult circumstances.

That level of support and loyalty is really rare in football and unlikely to be found elsewhere. So although there are no doubt lots of annoying things to manage behind the scenes, overall Welling is a great place for a manager, and though this will be one of the hardest seasons Danny will ever have, it will also, hopefully, end up the most rewarding, as in context, just staying up this season is comparatively just as big an achievement as, say Dartford with bigger resources getting a play off spot. And I am sure if there was a table based on getting the best return pound for pound spent, Danny would be right up there. So although there may be other options open to Danny, I hope, all things considered, he sees that Welling offers the best long term stability.

That Eastbourne sacking was interesting, as in a way it is an indirect proof that their new stats based model of management doesnt work, as if your priority is stats, it matters much less who the actual manager is. So then if results go wrong, it strongly suggests the over reliance on stats model does not work. But that is the problem Eastbourne have, of inexperienced owners, who dont understand what they are doing or what they need, and Danny and Mark Beard are fall guys for that.

I note that creative midfielder Jack Paxman has left Eastbourne today in search of part time football and to live closer to home (Essex I believe). A Danny Bloor reunion? Got the experience at this level to be a good signing for us...

I would imagine given the location Steve King would be favourite for the job

An upgrade from who they have just released, so i would expect a positive reaction from the players, which is not great for us.

Seem to remember he was manager at Fylde last season & won the National North, just pipping King's Lynn. Not too clever this season though.

We can finish above Eastbourne (& Weymouth). Three points this Saturday if we knuckle down & stop fart arsing about in front of goal.

If the Wings...

According to X, Paxman has signed for Ramsgate. Lives near Colchester so unless he is a good rower that doesn't seem much closer to home to me?
