After playing on park pitches for 6 years welling found their first home after being invited by Erith and Belvedere to use their ground on Sundays.

Barrie Hobbins was the Manager at this time and decided to print a full programme for the first time designed the cover and wrote all the contents.

My avatar is the front cover of this programme.

when my son was very young 30+ years ago and we went on the coach to away games on more than one occasion Barrie was waiting when we arrived to hand out complimentary tickets for anyone with kids.

He was always happy to speak to people and I will miss bumping in to him in the street near the ground.
