Every result went our way. It wasn't a great performance, but it was an important win.

Disappointing performance but obviously not same for result. Toothless up front and we lucky they were that all over the pitch..not a bad day at the office but certainly a mediocre one

Surprised he went without Green as we looked very central with no width.
No overlapping, and very predictable.
Our centre back (Olalu?), although I like his effort and knowledge he has brought to the side, must be thinking his time is up.
The forward we played lacked the effort Fish provided, as did Roscow.
The substitutions worked well, and you cannot doubt the managers footballing knowledge.
Hard work, but ground out the win, and that is all that matters.
Very happy with the facilities improvements, and nice to stay for the MoM awards.
Personally think Lochlan got it for me.
Always seem to struggle against lower teams yet raise it for teams higher in the league.
hey ho.

First half we seemed to have a huge gap in midfield, just two guys in attack, Jason supporting, and everyone else back defending, so when we attacked we didnt have many players up in the attack, as overall we were playing too deep and too cautiously against Dover. David Amoo didn't impress one bit, if he lost the first ball he gave up, didn't do much work defensively, and Adam Roscoe has those same limitations in his game.

Second half we played better, filling the midfield more, Antony played further forward and did more link up play in midfield, as he is comfortable controlling the ball in tight areas. We didnt close down quickly enough, and a better team would have punished us more for that. There wasn't much spark about the team, maybe the efforts of the season are finally catching up with us a bit.

But there are positives, we finished more strongly than them, maybe our fitness is better. It was a poor game, saved by the result, and they say the sign of a good team is you win even when playing badly. And in this every contradictory season, earlier we played well and lost, today we played poorly and won. So hoorah for us!

Terrible performance, great 3 points with most games around us going our way. I sat behind Rod and he thought we were "absolutely ******** ****". Subs worked well, freeing Paps up a bit and Green gave us the width.

Thanks sponsors for that free pint upon arrival. Deserved given the journey and the poor game!

What can you say, a very disjointed performance and from my untutored eye, a performance which would have been punished by better sides. However three points towards survival and you cannot ask for much more than that. Up front we showed nothing and seemed to find it very difficult in midfield. We need to up our game on Monday or it could be an Eastbourne result. The new facilities were most welcome and I hope they are well supported for the rest of the season and beyond. Thank you Howard.

Relieved to get the win today against an awful Dover side. It is easy to see why Dover are rock bottom and their handful of travelling fans now know they are officially 'down with the D*rtford'. Mind you, a few teams are doing their utmost to take the place of D*rtford.

We looked nervous and never really settled today but we won the game which is what really mattered. Rod Stringer is a straight man and his interviews are always spot on.

If the Wings are United...

The highlights are up, and you know what, looking back at the match, for a team that by our usual standards had a bad day and played crap, we actually created lots of chances. Well done to Riece and Lachlan, they kept us in the game.

I chatted with Nigel briefly before kick off, and mentioned that thing about us not scoring in 8 of Danny's 18 home games. After todays match that made me look into Rod's home form, and Rod's home form is P8 W5 D3 L0. We're a bloody fortress now!

Even more impressive when you consider apart from Dover all the matches were against higher placed teams. Our last 2 home games are Torquay and Weymouth, let's keep that unbeaten run going!

Probably the worst performance under Rod Stringer. The Welling team looked like they had been drugged in the 1st half, they were so slow. Dover Athletic are even worse so all in all it was an awful match but was nail biting. The one thing that has emerged in the Rod Stringer team is their resilience, they never give up the fight and kept going and eventually got the goal that won the match for us. That is the most important thing.

Verdict: Hard fought game but a vital 3 points
