Am I the only one thats flabbergasted that this game is e ticket only ?? Whats the thinking behind this ?? Maidstone have great numbers in their support so is it a case of lets make it difficult for away fans and make it easier for them on the away turnstiles ?? Anyway its made me not go so it worked
Apparently it is an initiative from the NLS. Any team that can promote e-ticket most effectively will be given a bonus league point in the event of a tie with a league rival.
This could prove the difference regarding Maidstone finishing top 3, so understand why they have implemented this.

Or some poor team could be relegated because of an e- ticket.
What a great point again. As good as dead and buried 3 month ago, what a turn around to be able to go these places and get something. Bloody fantastic.
4 games to go, Dover already gone, Havant & W can't catch us, so it's the final 2 places. Looking like 2 more points would keep us safe. Truro and Taunton messing with my head in regards to games in hand.
Away games are difficult for me so thanks to Nigel and Mark for the commentary. Also well done to our fans. Apart from the Maidstone drum all I could hear was the chants from our fans. Well done for being 12th man and spuring the team on.

Did not go today ( No I did not go to Bromley either) so I cant comment on the game only on what I heard from Radio Wings commentary. I look forward to seeing the highlights soon. Thanks to Nigel and Mark for the commentary. Nigel really is a superb commentator. I have to say I really was sceptical about Rod Stringer or even Pep Guardiola getting us out of the relegation zone being 8 points adrift of safety. Well Rod Stringer has performed a miracle. Today he made brave decisions regarding subs and tactics. None of us would known what to do after listening to the first half. Rod Stringer turned a one sided game into a contest. We won the second half and drew the game thanks to Rod and his coaches. Thanks to Howard Prosser too for doing what he is doing. Only a few know what Howard had done to facilitate our recent upturn in fortunes.
Great Day out, thanks to Mark and WUSA for organising the coach today, Well done to Rod, his coaching staff and the team on a good result today. Also thanks to Howard and his bar staff, for opening up the bar pre and post match.
Listening to Nigel it sounded like we were getting battered for the first 25 mins. What a signing Charles-Cook has been- I thought he was MoM against Dover and possibly could have been today as well. It sounds like he kept us in the game
The team haveshown great effort to get us out of the hole we were in.
I can see Eastbourne winning a few more games and you never know what Taunton could do in their 8 games. Dartford are as good as down.
A win against Torquay will secure it for us and it should be a cracking atmosphere at PVR.
Well done to the fans for their great support today.

Great result and enormous credit to Rod and the team. Going 1-0 down that early under Danny and the previous regime would have almost certainly ended in a 4 goal+ rinsing. To come back from that and draw speaks volumes about stability and character, even if it did sound like we rode our luck in the first half. Lets face it - going away to some of these teams, you absolutely need some luck at key moments
I'd given up on any chance of survival a couple of months back, so to be 8 points above the drop zone is nothing short of miraculous. Kudos!
Great day out, fantastic support from our fans. Just one thing that pissed me off was that prat of a Maidstone 'fan' with the silly hat and shades trying to wind us up jumping up on the marked yellow no standing stripes, and the security & stewards let him get away with it all during the match. I spoke to a security person about this, he told me that there was nothing he could do. So what is the point of having ' security ' personal if they are not doing their job ???
A game a bit like the Yeovil away match where Welling kept it very tight defensively. Even though we went 1-0 down very early we didn't panic and kept our shape. We took one hell of a battering in the 1st half though I felt we were better when David Amoo came on. 2nd half was a transformation we were the better side and eventually got the equaliser that was the least we deserved. A Creditable point against another top team in the division. Certainly have had some impressive results against some very good teams during our new era. A happy day out.
Verdict: We made April Fools of Maidstone United.
Footnote: Maidstone United have had an amazing season with an excellent FA Cup run in it. I wish them well for the rest of the season and every success in their bid for promotion. Good luck to every club from Kent and South East London. This is the area I grew up in and proud to have done so. I like to see all our local clubs do well, it's just I love Welling United the most and want them to be top of the pile. COME ON YOU WINGS
A mention also for the senior Citizen Maidstone steward who welcomed away supporters yesterday. No sooner had I arrived and walked down the steps than he said hello, told me where everything was and wished me an enjoyable game. I think his name was Tom. There are hotels Ive stayed at where Ive not had as warm a welcome as that. I was also pleased that on his way passing in front of us, he seemed to get a very good reception. Top man, Tom.
On the pitch yesterday, I think we seemed to struggle with the surface and keeping control of the ball which disappeared in the second half when we played some truly delightful football. Nice to see the goals getting shared round chiefly amongst the new recruits as well.
On to Torquay at home on Saturday and hopefully the 3 points we need to guarantee safety in the division. Up the Wings!
I couldn't be there either yesterday but was over the moon with the result. Unusual to get some kudos from the opponents commentary team (link below) but interested in their opinion we could have taken all three points if we had applied a bit more intent? Which is an even greater accolade. Thoughts of those who were there? Could/should we have won it?

Totally agree with this, although prefer Maidstone stay in NLS along with Dartford, (perhaps gives us a six point start to next season!!!!!) Support all local football and, whilst never likely to happen, (Bromley too good, Dover too poor and Ebbsfleet iN between) an NLS with all Kent clubs included and Wings top of the pile, would equal eutopia for me! Up the KENT !!
Got to agree with Sherpa49 The steward welcoming the away support was 1st class, if his name was Tom, then well done Tom, thank you for the hospitality and you are a credit to Maidstone United and non-league football in general.
Bexleylion, the answer to you question is yes we had chances to win the match 2nd half so perhaps should have. Definitely could have won it. That said Maidstone were the better side 1st half we were the better side in the 2nd half so maybe a draw was the fairest result. I would have taken a point before kick-off and I had a hunch we wouldn't lose and it would probably finish 1-1
