Here's one for the anoraks amongst us.

Apparently the NLS have decided that the result between Slough and Bath, abandoned last month due to a medical emergency in the crowd, with the score 4-2 in favour of Slough in about the 70th min. should stand and no replay of game. Slough awarded points but no goal difference recorded. There are rumours that Bath weren't keen on continuing game Hope it doesnt affect their play off positioin.

As far as I am aware they have not made a decision on the Weymouth v Yeovil match abandoned a couple of weeks ago for a similar reason in the 77th minute with the score 1-0 in favour of Weymouth.

Bearing in mind the above fixture could affect the League Champions and indeed if the result stands makes Weymouth mathematically safe from relegation I wonder what their decision will be? Or will they bottle it and wait to see if Yeovil win another game to make them champions?

The Bath manager refused to play on and he was the only person at the beginning to take that stance. Bath are lucky that the goal difference from that game won't count against them.

I agree that the league will wait until Yeovil have secured the title and then award the game to Weymouth.

In both cases decisions should have been reached much quicker.

Its an interesting one as I understand the Bath Manager(Gill) did not want to continue the match after a 25/30 minute delay citing "player welfare"!

It does make you worry for the integrity of the game. What happens if Welling need a win from their last game of the season to avoid relegation, are winning 1-0 in the 83rd minute, and an incident occurs in the crowd causing the game to stop?

Anyone remember an evening game against Bromley back in the Jamie Day era? We were winning I believe 2-0 with around (I think) 5-6 minutes left when floodlights failed. Bromley insisted on a full replay which I feel we won 3-0 with only one named sub who was actually at QE hospital awaiting birth of his son. At least Bromley season ticket holders were allowed in free as a gesture by Barrie and Barry. Does go to show it is not always in a clubs interest to insist on a full replay.

We were under a transfer embargo at the time and only had ten players available so were allowed to sign a youth player. Leon Farrell played quite well but ran out of steam and was running on empty with 15 minutes to go but had to continue. Because of the abandonment, he cannot claim a Welling United first team appearance.
