We will be away to Cray Valley PM on 27th July according to their Facebook page.

As that is the final weekend of pre season away to the Millers is probally the best fixture. B16 from Yorkshire Grey (R.I.P) to PVR. Could have been worse like somewhere in deepest Kent to a recently relegated Istmian team

In three words I can sum up everything i've learnt in life; it goes on.
Little bit concerning no mention of friendly with either CAFC XI or their under 23 squad.
My CAFC supporting friend is not happy but he told me their managers position is that he is not interested in legacy and he chooses where the squad goes. Believe they are off to foreign climes so the game that is played for the Graham Hobbins Cup is not important. He further understands they go down the A2 to a lower league club due to the contract for their u23 team to play there.

Yes ,your literally spot on regarding Charlton, its the manager that's not playing ball so to speak, in my opinion he should be made aware of the history and significance of this fixture. A good friend of mine is the admin on one of the supporters Facebook page, hopefully socal media pressure may have an impact. Trouble is now though when..?

I believe that everyone is resigned to it not happening this summer and that the intention is to restore the fixture in 2025.
There's also very strong views being expressed on the CAFC forum criticising the tackle on Leaburn in last years match as a reason for never playing Welling!

Well that's just petty, that could've happened anywhere, are they saying that we went out to inflict a serious injury on purpose..?. Some of their supporters are deluded
I remember years back, when Charlton fans were saying Alan Curbishley had taken them as far as he could after they spent most of that season in the European places. They got their wish, as Iain Dowie came in to replace him.
They lost to Welling in pre-season, and were then relegated 9 months later.

Well...we have 8 PSF ...it seems a great mixture too...with a great core of last years team with us at least most of these will be used to get the team playing together rather than still looking for 9 players with 3 PSF to go

This is my understanding of our pre season fixtures. Well done to Welling on getting such a useful set of matches set up so early before the opponents were fully booked, and for getting the squad in place so early so we have a proper pre season build up for our squad. Great to see so many players re-signed, last season was the opposite, and if memory serves right we didnt win any pre season games as a result. Less than a month until the first game!
Sittingbourne away Saturday 13th July 3.00
Leyton Orient home Tuesday July 16th 7:45
Dover away Saturday July 20th 3.00pm
Erith and Belvedere home Sunday July 21st 3.00
Bishops Stortford away Tuesday 23 July 7.45
Cray Valley PM away Saturday 27th July 1.00 or 3.00?
Ebbsfleet United home Tuesday 30th July 7.45
Sutton United home Saturday 3rd August 3.00
Thought the trialist left back (number 4) had a good first half, prior to all eleven swap at HT
Second half, the number 8 trialist (midfielder) looked very comfortable and certainly up for a battle
8 signed up players in the first half, and 7 in the second half made this a meaningful preparation match. Winning 3 - 1 is great as we are already creating chances.
Our Tuesday match against Orient is tricky as it is played so early in our pre-season preparation, but whatever the score Rod will learn a lot from seeing his team learning to play together and I can't wait to see us again at home. But first a little match against Spain to deal with...
I can't remember the exact number, but Warren hardly retained any players when he started his first full season, Danny only retained 2, so it is great Rod is a manager who attracts players who want to stay with him and who he also wants, for more than one season, I've lost count, but there are at least 10 re-signed from last season so tons of proven quality to build on and break this bad cycle of Welling always starting from scratch each season, and doing badly against more settled teams.
