Due to work deadlines today unfortunately I was 25 mins late. To my surprise, our lovely new stewards tell me I cant come in. When I politely ask they go and get anyone related to the club as I know it would be fine to be allowed in, I basically get told to do one. When I question why theyre actually even employed I get told its to keep people like me out. Yes, I know I was 25/30 mins late but Im glad to see these mongs are keeping themselves busy.

Regarding the "stewards" not allowing Luke in just because he was late was a wrong in a big way. I'm sure he offered to pay. Don't these "stewards " know a small club like ours needs all the money they can get, at the end of the day, common sense should have prevailed which in my mind they seem to lack. All they seem to do is stand around talking to each other, apart from the steward who was on the E&B stand who did his job properly by looking at the crowd and not the match. Well done for that.

Another welcome three points last night!

I thought we started the game well and Chuks was certainly playing with more confidence. Although the goal itself was bizarre it was deserved and I was hoping for a second before half time and then we get the penalty...

Second half I was worried that the penalty miss would boost them and deflate us but we were still in control until the red card. It looked a fair bit forceful tackle and perhaps a bit naive when already on a yellow card. We managed the game well with Lovett only making one save of note I can recall. Winfield was excellent again and you could hear him barking instructions to the team. A shout out for Sam Cornish who I felt was excellent last night. Great to get successive wins although I have to say Enfield were very poor on the night.

One final point. If you've missed a penalty with the last kick of the half then I would be very keen to atone for that for my teammates and for the supporters. What I wouldn't do is stroll back on to the pitch, not take part in the little warm up with the other players before the restart but spend two minutes by the centre circle doing my boots up....

On to a tough game at Dorking but with a bit more self belief we can get a positive result there

Not letting someone in who was late for the game is excessively harsh. I was late for a game a couple of seasons ago and had no issues.

Especially for a midweek game when turning up on time anyway because of work sometimes is extremely difficult. I've often turned up late to games away (Salisbury, Weymouth, Gloucester) much after time and still been allowed in with few if any issues. If what Luke says is true about what was said to him, I think he's owed an apology.

To be honest, I wouldn't even want one. I think they were rude, smirk and lacked common sense and in return I let them know my exact opinions on them and their little buddies around the ground.

I just hope in the future common sense prevails because not being able to get entry into a game not even 30 minutes in a division 6 game is ridiculous. Most grounds have entry until the end of half time and I genuinely had no idea we closed the turnstiles so early (lesson learnt for next time!).

If this happened to someone well known at Welling, there would be uproar.

Welling were comfortably on top in this game. Already leading 1-0 had Martell Taylor-Crossdale put the penalty away the game would have been over. As it was having Alex Lankshear sent off made it nervous but again like St. Albans City away Welling defended very well andhung on to their 1-0 lead for another important win. The sending off changed the entire complexion of the match although Alex clearly got the ball I suppose begrudgingly he was correctly sent off for the follow through.

Verdict: With strong performances like this Welling United will stay in National League South
