An enjoyable match tonight. Obviously two weakened sides, but we were the only team trying to play football. Thought TJ was superb and Zain's return added something extra. Still a few question marks over players like Osew, Burch and Bergkamp although thought the latter improved as the game went on.
The forwards (including the subs who came on) look exciting but that final cutting edge and putting the ball in the net just seems to be missing at the minute. I hope the potential, that looks like is there, comes to the fore soon.
On a negative note, I appreciate the clubs efforts to increase numbers by offering free entry to U-16s, but unfortunately it meant a lot of ****s in the crowd including a few kids who thought it was a good idea to run onto the pitch at the end to impress their friends, including one confronting a Maidstone player. Absolute clowns.
Anyway, a positive night on the pitch where we showed we now have some strength in depth and with a quarter final at Phoenix it's a fantastic opportunity to go far in this competition.
What a stupid idea that what to let under 16s in for free. The club could be in serious trouble with one of the clowns confronting a player on the pitch at the end of the match. Are the club going to let under 16s in for free at all matches? I really hope not. Many of them will lie about their age just to get in for free.
A good game where it seemed the pressure was off. Unfortunate to go behind in the 1st half but I thought the team went up a gear in the 2nd half and deserved their victory. It would be great to go along way in the competition maybe even the final or win some silverware. Although away Phoenix Sports is a favourable draw for us.
Verdict: Nice to be able to relax and enjoy a game
