As per Salisbury, you miss your chances, you get punished.
Getting a bit bored of Rods constant belittlement of both officials and his players.
His second in command appears to gain more respect.
Cannot doubt his efforts last season, but is Rod really the man to be at the helm?
I for one am not so sure anymore.
That was three points dropped IMO.
Pity help NYD trip to Maidstone, because I see us losing by a hatful.
I hope I am proven wrong.
A scrappy game that could have gone either way. I can't recall either team stringing more than 4 or 5 passes together at any point.
Rod has done so much that's good while he's been with us, but I think he got the subs wrong today: bringing on Martell and taking off Josh ahead of Theo. And then leaving Zain on the sidelines waiting to come on for 2-3 minutes, while Chelmsford built more momentum and ultimately scored the winner. A bad day at the office but I trust Rod to improve it.
Fortunately, none of the teams in the drop zone won today. We have a fairly decent buffer between us and them. However, if we carry on like this we will be in the mire. Maidstone away & Weymouth at home - we need to win one of these (the latter being the more obvious).
First half we were the better team and I thought we played well and i was confident we would get the win going down the hill. Second half Chelmsford were all over us from the first whistle. Stringer needed to make a change and unfortunately I think he got it wrong.

Very poor game overall. We had a lot possession first half but didn't take the chances We had. Disappointing that our season this year has turned the way it has but onwards to 2025 we go.
I felt we started the game well and our approach play was good up to the last bit. Kennedy had a very good first half and I was confident going downhill that we could get a win. Second half we started very slowly and never really got going. Chelmsford were on the front foot and shut down our midfield and, once again, their keeper was hardly tested.
Having listened to the post match interview the manager was spot on when he said that if you can't win that sort of game then at least don't lose it. Take a point and move on to the next one. Clearly we don't score enough goals but we also don't create enough chances which puts even more pressure on the forwards when one comes along. Redfearn could/should have scored first half and hit the bar but he has three goals in six league starts so why he was replaced by someone who has one league goal in fifteen league starts is a mystery to me.
We do have a small buffer over the bottom four but that could easily shrink. Our next three away games are Maidstone, Torquay and Weston and I see us getting precious little out of those matches on current form. Therefore it's imperative we do well at home and create and score more goals....

Think from the managers comments you can conclude he not sure what more he can do and things aren't going to change anytime soon. So much inconsistency in the team and a good chunk of them at least in my opinion aren't good enough. In prior relegation scraps we've at least had a talisman to give us hope of points at various stages of seasons- dipo, adom, tanga, fish etc. This season you'd argue its the gk but he can't get you the three points without any outfield counterparts doing their bit.
Feels disappointing with what rod achieved last season. Won't be surprised if we see a copy and paste in the coming weeks of him gone, new man in with 15 games or so to go
Currently fortunate we had an ok start not sure there are 4 sides - maybe enfield, worse than us over the 46 games
Read untold comments on him and wasn't sure what to think. But after seeing crossdale for the first time since the start of the season I can easily say he's up there with one of the worst footballers I've ever seen in a welling shirt.
