That was the sublime to the ridiculous. So good in the first half, but non existent in the second. That said I sensed Hampton would attack us playing down the slope. Berry was at fault for at least two of the goals imo although happy to be wrong when I watch highlights back. We seem to struggle when not attacking the Road End, Hampton used the slope to their advantage. so frustrating given our excellent first half display.

Another frustrating night at PVR and another game of two halves. If we can ever put a performance in for ninety minutes we aren't a bad side. And when was the last time anyone scored a decent goal against us...?!
We came out strongly and at least have created opportunities in the last few games and the second goal was an excellent move and finish. Whatever they put in the half time tea needs to change as we came out again very lethargic and were losing tackles all over the field. Losing Grant early was a big blow but some of the other changes were strange to say the least - it sometimes feels like we are using subs for the sake of it and there appears to be no real reason behind some of the changes..?? Fair play to Hampton who were one of the better footballing teams I have seen at PVR and fully deserved their victory.
Last but not least I have a gripe about the loan players. Every club at this level has to play the loan market and they can be real difference makers to your team. However they have to be vital parts of the team and they have to be first choices who will improve your team. Cast our minds back to last season when we had Fish and Adigun who were arguably our best two players and Kennedy and Di Trolio as well. This year we had Lankshear who was out best player the last two months (and now Di Trolio back) The rest of them are bit part players filling out the squad and certainly not difference makers. The lad from Dorking hasn't scored at all and the others are on the bench although Kamara might be worth a start now...??
A very tough game on Saturday and then a very tough trip to Weston after that. It's only the current ineptitude of the bottom four that is in our favour at the moment and that won't last for ever....

Started strongly first half, although could see that it wouldnt last.
H&R would finally twig that any threat we had was from the left hand side.
Thought Martin impressed again, but he wouldnt have the freedom he had forever.
Second half they done a job on us regarding our left. Snuffing out any threat we had earlier.
We had nothing on the right, but the substitutions we made were appalling
Mentioned on a previous thread that Kamara looked useful on his previous cameo appearance, and with another similar appearance last night, think he justifies a start.
So in summary, a couple of goalkeeping howlers, and no game plan regarding the right side of our team cost us.
When a goalkeeper makes mistakes of that nature, it must be soul destroying to the teams enthusiasm.
It certainly was with mine.
As a side note, thought Rods number two was very encouraging in the first half and the players certainly seemed to understand what he was requesting.
As I was at the opposite end for the second half, couldnt make out if he was still barking out instruction, or he also lost interest.
