The results every week are just hit and miss. How can you beat Worthing with one of the best performances the whole season to meekly surrender at a mid table side with nothing to play for.
Rod was a coward for not seeing this inevitable relegation till the end, and leaving Brian to swallow it up in front of a frustrated fan base.
Is there enough for us next year to potentially avoid a 2nd relegation next season as well?
Us fans were so badly let down today, over 150 travelled hoping to see the start of a major miracle. How badly let down we all were. A huge reset now needs to take place not just on the pitch but more importantly off it. The regression of this great football club has to stop. #WeAreWings

It was my first game since November 26 ( Tonbridge home) due to recovery from my hip replacement. Nothing seems to have changed if anything it's got worse. We will be going down unless something happens very quickly. We have got to win all of the remaining games and hope the teams below and above us slip up. Very disappointed in the performance yesterday.Little bit sorry that I have already bought my ticket and booked my seat for the Kent cup.
Inept display that we've seen far too much of this season. The players were good enough last Saturday but being good enough consistently means we're getting what we deserve. Brian Statham has come in to an already sinking ship, all he can do is stand up and salute as it goes down.
Excellent away following again that did turn into some frustrations at the end. Can't wait for this season to end.
On paper we have some winnable games whilst Enfield have a tough run in. Hornchurch next week is a must win but we should still play our best team in the Cup Final on Wednesday. At least at Priestfield we can't use the pitch as an excuse for not putting more than 3 passes together.

I thought after Farnborough away we were definitely relegated. After the excellent performance at home to Worthing last Saturday I travelled to Chesham United with hope only to see us revert to another poor performance.
I must say Chesham United was a nice ground with good facilities and their fans were very friendly and helpful to us. I enjoyed the day out except for the performance and result! Of course I mind that we will be relegated but I could accept better if we showed some fight and passion in every game and if we lose and go down fighting than at least we've done our best. I was very disappointed Rod Stringer jumped ship and resigned with 8 matches remaining. What happened to I won't let Welling United get relegated? Whatever happens it's not Brian Statham's fault, he has inherited a poison chalice and I think he is brave to take it on and I commend him in doing so.
Yesterday was two poor teams on the day but we were doing alright until Winfield had to go off, another reason I question the wisdom of releasing Anthony Grant, an experienced wise head like Dave Winfield, to demonstrate leadership to the young squad. 2nd half we crumbled. Di Trolio did well to get us level at 1-1. Went behind to a worldy but once Gene Kennedy let himself and the club down by getting himself sent off unnecessarily for dissent we were doomed. Max Statham really should have scored and Rhys Lovett's rush of blood cost us dear. I have said all season our lack of a striker that has cost us dear and was a worry. None have quite achieved what we need. The latest addition, his goal ratio isn't great. Really you need a 1 goal in 2 or worst ways 1 in 3 striker.
I hope we do win some silverware on Wednesday to soften the blow of relegation but more importantly I hope Welling United at least put in a decent battling performance. My school friend who is a Dartford supporter, I said to him after their relegation at least you have some new grounds to visit. The travelling will be more local and it will be less expensive to support your team, so that's the view I will be taking in the very likely event we are relegated.
