Let's be honest we won't know what the new players are like until the season starts. We seem to be signing players from step 4 which be expected with a substantial cut to last seasons budget. Tom Leahy looks an especially good signing though.

Yes..lots of signings but not sure how anyone knows how it will pan out until games start. A lot of young players from leagues below...a couple of senior players who are much needed. Hope our Aussie keeper is decent
A real unknown season for us...new territory....it will be a journey....hopefully a good one

This.
A lot of variables and a few punts to go along with a couple of experienced players so far and hopefully a couple more if the budget stretches that far.
Last pre season Elliott Long looked like a superstar but that never panned out at all.
Of course we will all get behind the new gaffer but we need to stop the bleeding first before we start thinking about play offs and alike.
Bumped into grandsons step dad yesterday who is a Millwall season ticket holder. Said we have a great signing there and couldnt understand why Tom was not in first team more. Think we are getting there.

Well, pretty much a whole new team, new manager and a new league.
We are used to many new signings and new managers but not a new league. It stills feels a bit strange but we will obviously be looking to do well this season. There are some decent sides in our division so this pre-season fixture away to Tonbridge Angels will be a tough test for our lads.
More Sunday League players than last year. What a recipe for disaster. Just because you put a scarf around them and make them [allegedly] say srupid things, does not make a footballer. Absolute disaster

Have a little faith in the manager and the team. The players we've got so far have all looked solid in their divisions and are worthy of a step-up, and the fact we've somehow managed to snatch up the likes of Leahy at this level is great.
Get behind the players and the manager -- relegation has given us a great chance to get out of our endless panic mode and start the Great Welling Rebuild.

Got to agree with If Only. There is a buzz around the club at present. It started around the time Lee was appointed, continued with meet the manager and has become more positive since the community day. Fans coming into the shop, renewing WUSA by email or contacting me to order shirts all seem to agree they are more optimistic this season than they have been over the past few years.
As 1963 said get behind them.

Ruben Shakpoke 21 y.o. striker is latest player announced. Started off in Norwich City academy then signed for Aston Villa and West Brom before joining Enfield Town and Maidstone last season.

Today the club announced Keegan Bloom a full back from Harrow Borough. Interestingly another signing that has either scooped his previous clubs player of the season or player of the month awards. After listening to Lees interview the other day we should have one more to come. Think once the next player is announced we will have a squad of 18. Maybe we pick up one or two from the trialist family pre season.
