What's going on with the tannoy system?? I know Nigel tries his best but the system is useless. It's impossible to hear anything that's being announced. We need a NEW one.
I wasn't talking about the music, I was saying about the importance announcements that Nigel was saying. The subs and time of the goals. Did anyone else think the same? Or was it just me going a bit mutton & Jeff?
It goes from one extreme to the other. At the last match it was only audible at the road end. This week I could hear all the announcements, but it was incredibly loud.

The problems are known. A new (no need to put it in capitals) system and set up was being tried out yesterday and there were a lot of teething issues. I can assure you that people are working hard behind the scenes to rectify it.
This is really starting to annoy me now, the whole system needs replacing. Its not down to WUSA or volunteers, its down to the club.!
The equipment used yesterday belongs to other people, we need our own set up
Quotes were obtained as there is a strong possibility of accessing grants to help fund it. Im going to speak to the owner on Tuesday to get some clarification as to what's going on. The music is irrelevant, its my voice that people need to here in the event of a emergency, if anything was to happen then the club could find itself having legal action taken against it for negligence at least. Another frustrating thing is that its making me look stupid, im not prepared to carry on doing the Tannoy for much longer unless its sorted.
I don't know how much it would actually cost to replace the PA System (although I have a rough idea), whatever the cost, it would/should be a one-off cost and more importantly, as Nigel has highlighted, any need for a safety message or calls for medical assistance for a medical emergency would clearly be heard.
Its been a problem for +30 years to my knowledge, there has never been any speakers on the E&B side of the ground, those of us that stand there just have to wait for the following day, or the internet to find names of scorers etc.
It is irrelevant if E&B have their own Tannoy system, It's about Welling United's match-day experience and image, and how "professional and safe" the club wants it to be.
My point about the music was its so loud you can hear 1/4 mile away that by the time you get in the ground its so distorted close up you cant hear it , maybe it just needs turning down, that might fix the messages

No not irrelevant just a question. I am not an electrician and wondered if they could be connected together.
