Looking forward to todays game. Regardless of the recent events I really hope we can put in a decent performance. We should also have a decent turnout of Wings fans. Lets get behind the team and hopefully get something from todays game. Up the Welling.

What a difference a half makes.
Goal keeper looks like one of five I would have liked to start the season with.
John played a few nice balls into the 6 yard box that should have ended with more fruition
First ten of the second half killed us.
They were queuing up at times to score.
Gutted.

Simply beyond words about how bad that 2nd half was that. 1st half we were simply excellent, defensively so compact and efficient at countering Dartford at every opportunity, and we could have easily been 2 to the good by half time.

Then after we come out the tunnel for the 2nd half, we suddenly lost all composure almost immediately, conceding a poor equaliser from being too open on the flank. You think that goal would have woke us up, but no, we then go and concede an even worse 2nd by leaving Dsane completely unmarked at the corner of the box and he of course buries it. You then saw the team completely lose much of its momentum for virtually all of the game, and apart from one ball that flashed across the 6 yard box, we had no chances of any note I could remember. And contrast that to Dartford, who looked almost in total cruise control for the rest of the 2nd half, pouncing on almost every turnover they won in the midfield, leading to the 3rd goal from Box, which yet again was the result of abysmal unmarked defending. Absolute dog and duck stuff it really was, and the fans were going in on the players for it.

We were also incredibly lucky when you look at the game to have not lost by an even heavier margin. Despite how lacklustre Dartford were in the 1st half, they had 2 chances that could have gone in, the goal line clearence and the save by Damian around the 44th minute that had a lot of swerve and power on it.

I wonder how long it will take to we beat Dartford in a league game. People can jibe about February, but my God watching that 2nd half, are you really confident we beat them there. It will take a long time to catch-up with Dartford in infrastructure and competitiveness on and off the pitch.

Onto Tuesday at home to Folkestone. Hopefully we are a lot lot more solid than that 2nd half, otherwise relegation is looking more likely.
