Lewis Gard midfielder is the latest wings player. Back in the 14/15 season I heard Jamie Turner wanted shirt 69 but league said no. Bit different this season.
The greater concern for me is that we were up to shirt 44 when Mr Maxwell was appointed, so 24 players, (6 more than an average club squad size at this level has?) have come through the door under his watch. So this is now 'his' squad of which, whilst accepting some may have been short term loans, it appears at least six have been deemed to be short of the mark, which may suggest an error of judgement by those who brought them in?
How can players be expected to gel as a unit when there is such a high turnover amongst them?
Hopefully today (if game on) will show us the potential of some of these new recruits.
Despite rude comments from fans of other clubs on social media platforms we wont reach 100. Deadline day for transfers in Istmian and National leagues is Thursday 26th. Not sure about rest of the NLS or the RFLs but I did hear they follow the same dates if anyone knows if true or not.
Rude comments? Seen a bit of micky taking and I'm sure if it was another club using so many players there would probably a few comments thrown their way from us. And at least we've probably broken a record no matter what happens for the rest of this season.

So what has happened to the 50 odd numbered shirts that are not now used? Selling them off at £10 could go a long way to paying for a supporters coach to the next away match.

A lot of the shirts have been treated with a spray that removes the number. Then a new number is applied to the back of the shirt. The spray isnt cheap but is effective.

The shirts are renumbered. If they were sold off, the club, not WUSA, would be entitled to the money having made the initial outlay.
