"Wings Boss Adrian Pennock yesterday confirmed the new Welling United physio, Dave Lawson. Lawson who is hugely respected in the non-league game has had spells at a number of clubs including Notts County, Billericay Town and Gravesend. Lawson also left for The Gambia in 2003 with the world-famous Middlesex Wanderers team as the physio, who went on a week-long tour of the African country."

Whoever said James was the copy and paste kid?

From "this is essex" who didnt get a credit for the Official Site piece...

Soccer: Lawson set to stay at New Lodge

From the archive, first published Friday 16th May 2003.

Billericay Town have had a boost with the news that physio Dave Lawson is sticking with the club.

Lawson -- hugely respected in the non-league game -- arrived at New Lodge with former manager Gary Calder four years ago.

But fears that he may quit the Ryman Premier club following Calder's resignation at the weekend have proved groundless.

"Dave has made it plain that he intends to continue as physio at Billericay Town and he will be part of the package whoever takes over as manager," said club chairman Rod Moore.

Lawson left for The Gambia today with the world-famous Middlesex Wander-ers team, who are on a week-long tour of the African country.

Whats wrong with cut and paste? There are occasions when you want to quote directly, this was one of them and was recognised as such by the title and the quotation marks.

You will always find a reference and quotation marks when c&p is used in my postings. Its more honest than a posting which merely paraphrases someone else's work without adding any personal content.

You can quote all you like but unless a credit is given it is being claimed as editorial. In internet etiquette if you use another site's text then you normally give a credit.

Which is basicaly what james did, he used a few words the same as the article, this forum is just a place to bash the club and its website!

he used a few words from that site he must have researched, most sites re-copy player profiles when they change clubs, same here.

I cant believe we are even discussing this, he used a few words from a website to describe an excellent physio! What a waste of time.

There are some ****e websites in this league, and ours is certainly not one of them! All we seem to do is attack each other, attack the club, attack volunteers, attack websites, attack forums! Can't we just stop and be nice to each other.

How about we all join together and just talk about football? If you have a problem with a person or a website, talk to them directly, not on a forum!

Thanks James for the above posts! Much appreciated!

I think the point being made is the content on the official site, is lazy, weak and poor.Say what you like he copied the site. If you look on the player profiles he copied and pasted them too. He has always copied and pasted. Everyone knows that and many have commented on it.

Dont cover up when its poor please. Do you see Russ copy and pasting? No!

What a load of tosh, we do not attack each other, we just attack JgFc (We are ALL United in doing that). And it is probably him slagging off James.

ha you think im James, far from it! Player profiles are the same on all sites, they just re-use each others.

Content such as videos and interviews are good, the only thing i have a problem with is news, do the club tell him anything?

I totally agree with Anonymous Date: 13:08 Jun 9, 2006 and Anonymous
Date: 13:21 Jun 9, 2006 but since I can’t converse directly with anonymous posters I would just point out the following

Anonymous Date: 12:59 Jun 9, 2006 posted “In internet etiquette if you use another site's text then you normally give a credit.”
Excuse me!!! What do the words "From the Official site" mean?

Anonymous Date: 13:00 Jun 9, 2006 posted "this forum is just a place to bash the club and its website!"
I would strongly contest this statement. There are on occasion and always will be differing views on matters and this forum does not supress those differences which does not of itself make it "just a place to bash the club and its website!". In fact the experience of the last 5 weeks or so, using the distorted logic giving rise to the criticism made, would tend to the view that this forum is just a place to bash itself.

Anonymous Date: 13:25 Jun 9, 2006 posted “we just attack JgFc (We are ALL United in doing that).”
I disagree and that is CERTAINLY NOT what this forum exists for. If you want a forum to do that go away and set one up.

James is doing what he can with the official site and I have tried to help him out through email when I feel something needs to be brought to his attention about his site. He may well like many others, me included, use cut and paste when doing his research but this is not an examination or academic thesis where it is an absolute requirement to acknowledge your sources of information however minimal they may be.

Lets have no more of this trivial anonymous sniping and confine any further postings to the point of the original posting which was to report that we have a new physio.
