Thought it was pretty positive, with some nice football. I'm extremely glad Bod's signed for a year, thought his pace was fantastic last night. Also Daniel Moore - a few ropey passes in the first half, but again his pace shone through and thought he had a good performance. If we could have Bod and Moore on the flanks they'll be a nightmare for defences...
Score 0-2 an o.g. and Andrew Sam scoring the second late on. I thought we were awful in the first half and Heren Bay dominated but second half was totally different and we were totally on top and should have scored more. Thought that Jamie Day coming on at half time made all the differences - he looked hungry and was unlucky not to score when he chipped the keeper and hit the bar.
Feel much more optimistic after the second half performance - not in terms of going up but of avoiding going down.
Number 4 was Vines who looked very good at the back sorry to say but C.moore needs to hit the tread mill as he looked quite large.
On the whole 1st half was poor but that was due to getting use to a **** pitch.
Mr Kedwell didnt look to much like championship class last nite and d.moore looked good but this is bout his level and he did the same last year in pre season.
Didnt see any thing to great in the trialists but andrew sam deserves another look.
One thing you would be very worried is it seems the club are hell bent on selling Keds "Brentford are keen, So are other League clubs and ive had conference mangers on to me, oh we have a fee in mind", and then bringing in Joe's brother. You would be worried of goals unless you changed Che's role and he was the striker not the foil. As i said i had heard good things of Joe Vines, whether he is up to it consistently in Connie South we will have to wait and see. At least they dug out a win at Herne bay. Time is slipping away though and its been a frankly amateurish pre season, he released players early and never had people to come in. Poor managership imo.
How did Hydie look?? Fit??
So where were Guest, Carthy and Solly?? Please tell me they were there or thats about 7 players gone and just 2 ryman one playeres brought in.
The problem last year was carruthers kept letting Shearer down when it came top training lifts. Now weve lost a really good center half and we need a decent one brought in. Paul lorraine would have done a job.
Great to hear that Daisy is in impressive form. Lets hope he has another season like 2004/5
Surprised that with Keds, having just had a groin scan to presumably identify the root cause of an injury problem, was allowed to play on what I assume was still a rock hard surface.
Anyone know if Andrew Sam is related to Charlton's Lloyd Sam?

I think you will find that Adie told Brentford he had a slight groin and would NOT be available to play in a friendly for brentford. (Who hadnt made an offer) Adie didnt want Keds to get an injury where Welling would be stuffed.
Andrew Sam is Lloyd Sam brother and there was no sign of Carthy last nite But Leon was there on CRUTCHES! Just a jarred knee not major injury was very impressed with Guest and Vines at Centre back could be good partnership!
Che looked fit - he was played far too early last year after his injury and never got fit
Perkins fit would be a great asset
Andrew Sam definitely worth persuing with over the next few weeks
Don't worry at the moment
We have most of the players that did us proud last year and with a few others added we will be fine
It is still early days and just because we haven't gone for the money grabbing prima donnas it doesn't mean we will not have a decent side. Frankly I would rather they didn't play for us as they are only there for the money and don't care about anything else
Arsen Wenger continually pulls rabbits out of a hat with unknowns and turns them into stars
Why can't Adie do a non league equivalent - No reason at all
