Che opened the scoring and they equalised through Turner. Jamie Slabber got a winner for the visitors.

On the face of it a decent result as grays have already had a few friendlies.

Did the young kid from gillingham play?

Starting line-up: -

1 Jamie Turner

2 Luke Holmes            14 Daniel Bezant (76)

3 Keith Rowland

4 Des Boateng

5 Chris Moore

6 Joe Vines

7 Matt Bodkin

8 Danny Kedwell

9 Akwasi Edusei  15 Andrew Sam (15)      12 Che Stadhart (37)

10 Daniel Moore  16 Shuan Bremner (55)

11 Jamie Day

On the team sheet but didn’t play: -

Paul Hyde

Steve Perkins

Leon Solomon

Akwasi Edusei started but went of injured after 15 minutes. Andrew Sam who also went of injured after 37 minutes replaced him. Che Stadhart replaced him and scored with his first touch of the ball.

Not a bad performance. The trialists all did reasonably well.

A draw would have been a fair result but a dreadful mix up let Grays in for their second.

Cheers Alan

Would we not be better having Danny Moore play left back until Solly is fit (Dont rush him back!!) . Any idea how long Solly will be out for? I take it Carthy sodded off on the Wings for a second time, mercinary tosser!! i did say last year he was and i would bet he will play for someone like Heybridge or Chelmsford! Where was guesty? Who played center half with Mooro?

How is the pitch? looked a bit brown in patches? How are vines and Boateng looking? Vines the better of the two?

What positions do you feel we still need to address. The squad looks painfully thin and weak. Miss a couple of layers and we would be struggling. Did they look fit? Was Neil Withington there?? Is he still the fitness bloke?? Is Keds looking sharp? Has anyone bought Chris Moore an excercise bike yet? Might be an idea for him to be running in Danson park while we have friendlies.

Was the programme a home made effort for a quid? Any transfer gossip?

We will have 11 players for the next game?

Vines played centre back alongside Moore. Rowlands was playing left back but when Danny Moore went off, the young kid Bremner went to left back and Rowlands moved into midfield. Luke Holmes was playing right back and looked quite solid.

Keds looked sharp and was proving a handful for their defence. He had two markers for most of the game so they’d obviously done their homework.

I think the whole team made a good effort and nobody disgraced themselves. Also, nobody retaliated even though Grays were guilty of some pretty unfriendly tackles at times.

I think I saw Guest in the stands and his name was on the team sheet.

The pitch didn’t look too bad but there are a few brown patches. Compared to my lawn though it’s brilliant.

The program was an A4 sheet and given free.

I would dig out Carths too much as he was in the stand and when I had a quick chat with him, what he told me was all positive stuff.
