Just seen on the Kent Online website that Mark Goodfellow has signed for us.

Missed his goal last night as it kicked off a bit earlier than i thought but seems like a good signing.

According to the Thurrock website he went to them from Leyton Orient and was voted Players Player of the Year and Fans player of the year in 2002/03 which sounds promising.

Think the team is shaping up quite nicely now.

He certainly looks up to it on last nights performance.

I see Lovell was number 9 with 2 goals, he looked pretty impressive too.  If Kedwel was to go, he could may well be a good replacement?

My Info is Keds is going and wont be here for our first league game . :(

How on Earth would Lovell be a good replacement, hes had plenty of trials and NO ONE has taken him. He scored 2 goals against a POOR Kent League team. If/When Keds goes we need a proven goal scorer at this level or a league above. I said this last season and Adie got lucky with Danny, BUT Remeber he hasnt targeted anyone hes just been using trialists.

Bodkin, Stadhart, Eduwesesesesesesesesesesese, Kedwell

Why is Ade having more strikers on trial? We cant afford 5!! Its because Keds is going and he wants to get another in on peanuts and say we are covered on the striker front. Sorry but its true.

Thats a very minimum to me. Not taking another gamble on a kent league standard striker. You cant keep letting proven scorers go and not replacing them with a proven striker.

I don't agree that Ade got lucky with Keds. He saw the potential, was aware of the negative stuff surrounding him, and believed that he could bring out the best in him which is exactly what he did. As for him going we will have to wait and see. Based on last season's performances he is bound to be a target but that doesn't mean he will go.

As far as Lovell goes I think he has to prove himself against better opposition and maybe he will get a chance at some point on Saturday or the Charlton game.

Football is all about seeing potential and working on it to get the best out of the players, like Ade did with Keds.  I thought lovell had alot of potential last night, he made some good intelligent runs and played a simple but effective game.  People have to be given the chance to prove themselves!  But it is early yet we will wait and see what happens as the weeks go on...
