Doesnt sound like we were too hot but looking at the following post on their forum... We didnt have to be.

Dire game. We didn't have a serious shot on goal all game and Welling could only have had two.
No Trig, Flanners, Matty C or Norms - and no Amadou Pamé either (rumour has it that we're not going to sign him because he's too good and won't stay long; hope that's not true, or why am I buying shares?). Also Jonah went off first half presumably with a slight knock.
On the plus side, we weren't any worse than Welling, but that isn't saying much. Chands had a good game, so did Lee Shearer at the back.
I still thnik we look ok for the season ahead, but we definitely need the players who weren't there today.

To be fair, despite a very good financial year last season and promises to go for it this season, we very much appear to have made cut backs, theres no possible way we are paying these ryman league players what People like pinnock and carthy were on.
I just hope we do ok, because if we dont, we dont blame pennock.... we blame those who have made the cut backs despite previously being top of the league and a nice few quid in the bank.
Im sure Stafford could remember a previous post about going for it..... or avoiding it. We seem to be handicapping the manager.
I think Hobbins has firmly placed yet another manager on his hand upto his wrist!!
