Hmmmmmmmmm, well its lost the club crest, it shows Erith's stand on the PVR page (when it should show either the club shop or welcome to pvr hoarding) BUT
The colour scheme is a bit better, I was expecting a bit more of a revamp after 2 weeks off line. but using the football webpages for the guts of the site is just weak and nicking content.
But as has been said before the site could be rubbish or superb but if the info and editorial isnt updated regularly it becomes worthless.. see wsu site for clarification of that!
Nice effort James but get the club badge up and get rid of Eriths stand as the main pic on the pvr page.

lol!! Thanks anon!! Check cambridge and others... well i used it for a few months too, but the vast majority of websites do not use football webpages. Its just lazy no individuality and all automatically done. People normally go to football webpages to see any stats they may want.
So wheres the club badge and wht have the pic of the tennants stand as the main pic on OUR ground page?
Im just saying, offline for 2 weeks minor changes, then the guts of the pages are all automatically updated by another website!, no club badge, eriths stand on our ground page.
PS when did we sign Ellis Green and Holmes??
No need to jump dowm my throat mr anon

Knowing his oprevious ites and his lack of anything to do with websites i would say that the aussie sight has even designed and uploaded the site. I cant stansd the little tosser, especially after all the spamming he used to do on the forums to use his site.... (the kindegaarten versions) But i feel it must be known the site isnt his work at all!!
So its not even his own work, then he uses football webpages hahaha...
sorry to rain on his parade, but its just a template hes got off a site and then hes using football webpages to update the site.... Only stating facts!!

He hasnt got the knowledge to modify it, id say you were james trying to hint that you had had any say in designing it. Its very unlikely hes modified the template, he isnt capable..
I would say hes either 100% ripped the siute and changed logos/photos or the aussies have done the site totally (same as version before). hence 2 weeks why THEY redo it.
So given someone else designs it, given football webpages update most of it, apart from sell his videos what does he do on it. As i said sorry to rain on his parade... But cant stand him over his previous actions...
Bitter?? not really but he bombarded forums with abuse and spam links and his video quality aint as good as my highlights i used to post. So before everyone masterbates his ego. its 100% not his work and also football webpages will update the guts of the new data.

I think you'll find that the new stand belongs to both clubs. That's why it's painted in blue (for Erith) and red (for Welling). The clubhouse is Erith's though.
Personally I don’t care if it’s a template or the cats mother made it!
As long as it gives me the latest news I don’t care.
I have not managed to access the new site yet but I agree 100% with anonymous.
Who really cares if its state of the art, personally developed site or not - what we want is information. So long as it doesn't look like, for example, the Cray Wanderers site I'll be happy.
What is more critical is that news is posted promptly and that the local rag becomes a secondary source of information rather than a primary one.

Having now seen the site I really don't understand what JgFc has issues with; it looks fine to me.
As far as using FootballWebPages for stats why reinvent the wheel?
The only problems I encountered were the expanded link menus do not work properly if you are using Internet Explorere 7 beta 3 - hardly James' fault and surprising since at beta 3 stage one would expect the product to be robust. Works fine in Firefox and I understand in IE6 too.
and
for some reason I have experienced difficulties in actually accessing the site.

Personally I switched to using Mozilla's Firefox some time ago because of all the Microsoft bugs and the virus attacks etc which targetted Microsoft and I've never regretted it.
Internet Explorer 7 which is Microsoft's attempt to catch up with facilities you can add on to Firefox can be downloaded at IE download.
I have not experienced the problem I did with the official site before but then I don't very often use IE so its hard to judge. There are few sites which don't accept Firefox but there is a handy little add on which allows you open such sites as if you were using IE (and you can tell it to use this mode whenever you visit that site.)
If you haven't tried using Firefox as your browser and are reasonably proficient when it comes to using PC's you may like to try it out. It can be ownloaded at Firefox download. The use of tabs, part of the new look IE7 but has been a basic in Firefox for yonks, is a cut and paster's delight. To make the best of Firefox you have to select add ons, again something Microsoft are copying, but this is relatively pain free.
