A third of the sides Histon, Braintree Town, and Eastbourne Borough, who all made the 1st round proper last year, along with Thurrock, Weston-super-Mare and Sutton (who were unlucky enough to find themselves in the only all FCS tie) all fell at the first fence. A further 4 sides Hayes, Bognor Regis Town, Basingstoke and ourselves could only manage daws against lower league sides.

At the opposite end of the scale Fisher were rampant putting 7 past Sittingbourne with Tony Riviere getting 2 of them.
