According to their chairman they are! Maybe Adrian would like to pin this below on the wall!!
Uncle Urchin writes after a spying mission on Welling and Folkestone
an interesting evening in the wilds of welling..managed to escape the A2 snarl up cos nett gave me the wrong directions.. but there early enough and a nice burger as well having found a private parking space right next to the turnstyles belonging to a solicitor from london....swerved the bar as it looked like something from a john wayne western...
lots of long ball from the off and quickly apparent to me that neither team will fancy their chances at the bridge...welling the better of the two but invicta working the harder and unsettled the ponderous central defenders of welling....
right on the stroke of halftime invicta score from a free kick just outside the box...not deserved but not surprising either...welling keeper looks dodgy to me as well...especially from set pieces...(we may have to get treeboy behind the goals for this one )
higher tempo from welling after the restart and a goal scored whilst 3 invicta defenders scratched their heads...simple cross... good header...no defence...
welling pushing but lightweight up front and then a soft penalty...ball to upper arm but given and scored...(same ref we had for the bradsted final who gave barkingside 33 free kicks in the second half and he was at it again tonight favouring welling....
the game turned then and invicta desperately went in search of the equaliser and if their big striker could have stayed on his feet for more than 30 seconds they might have got it....
91st minute and the 3rd....wing back to the byeline..low cross..no defenders and in it went...
3-1 and welling it is then....
loads of chav potential for the bridge if they travel..(which I doubt)..ground filled up rapidly after the kick off and I reckon 450ish...
invicta would have been ideal for us... ...but welling are slow at the back...dodgy keeper in the air ..carthy busy in midfield and very 'robust'....lots of long balls over the flanks....full backs busy pushing up and leaving gaps.....
bridie will fancy this methinks....
we can beat them at the bridge...but it will be a close one.....
500 regular leage game goers + 150 Welling chavs + 150 fair weather cup supporters + 150 Sun readers
=
950 MINIMUM.
plus a game of guess the attendance (it's got to be done Trigger), proggys and raffle tickets and perhaps a nice victory, and we've got a good wage there.
Let's bet the bastards. Come on the Hx!!!

Well, a good friend of a friend who met a man in a pub who heard from the vets, said, that you were indeed the nuts and that you will slaughter the Glory Hunters from Upminster.
However, the geezer from the florist who is married to the niece of the lady from the bakers who's cousin once played for Dagenham said, that the man from the garage who knows the fat lady who sings at the local opera house who is engaged to be married to the mechanic from the local garage across the road from the ground, said
'this lot are fckn useless they can't keep the balls in the ground'
