Their number 3 appeared to have cheated by claiming to have been kicked by Kedwell - from where I was standing it looked like a bit of a porky. However, no need for the two welling kids to shout racist abuse as they left the ground. Doesn't look good on the club, nor on yourselves.
Thing is Graham, in the past the welling fans have been known to be racist albiet a good 2 decades ago so many fans may aready asosciate us wings as racist. I myself have heard comments of racism this season and last from fans but usually its umoungst themselves...

Well they're going the right way to refuel that reputation, and it will be extremely unfair and stupid if Welling fans are branded racist all for a couple of morons.
But the thing is, is that last season there was some people who were openly racist and if a opposing fan had walked past and heard then what would of become of that? I'm not naming names either but I'm saying they can't take all of the blame....

Well I'm certainly a good two (or three) decades old and I remember it. Although I don't think those responsible attend games much anymore.

Been told by people who were alive at the time, I won't accuse on a subject this sensative, I wouldn't of said about it unless I was 100% sure and Moo has backed it up as well

Im not interested in what Moo has said AFTER your post. (Although she doesnt look old enough ;) ) And that isnt a dig at Moo at all.
I dont think you can say that Welling United has had a racism problem per se. Im more concerned with people that were not even around at the time stating there was a racism issue.
Especially as you come on here saying there is one now.
I just find the topic a bit weird...
If you want racism try Yeovil, Macclesfield, Kettering 20 years ago.

All I'm saying is that you can't just blame the two kids that made the remarks, because other Welling fans have made comments in the past.
Yes you can. I've only been supporting Welling for about 4 or 5 years, and these were the first racist comments I've ever heard which is why I raised the subject. Just becuase people have in the past has no bearing on the comments I was making. My point was these kids should stop now.
I agree Graham - If you hear it then let them know you have heard it - It is totally unacceptable and also very puzzleing especially as we have a very mixed team.
