I have just read on the Folkestone Invicta Web site that Luke Howell may be joining them. He is just the type of player we need at the moment as we have not adequately replaced Lee Gledhill. It is obvious that we are weak at right back (an important position) and overloaded with central defenders. I do not believe that John Guest is up to Conference South standard and he should be sacrificed to bring in Luke Howell to balance the books or, if we progress into the next round at Hornchurch, we may be able to afford to bring Luke Howell in as well.
Adrian Pennock has not performed well in the recruitment of new players in the close season as he has signed some players who are not up to Conference South standard. Sharpen up, Adrian, we want to reach the Play Offs, at least, and not blow out like we did at the end of last season!
Not sure what you mean overloaded with centre halfs.How many have we got.Infact how many left or right backs have we got and what cover have we for the positions.As for the web site we have five defenders for four places who can cover what.One injury and we wont make the playoffs at all.I think we have something like seven or eight midfield players.For the same four places.Thanfully Guesty and Perkins can turn a hand at full back otherwise we would be up a creek without a paddle.
Point two as he has said the side is much yonger this year.Witch in real words means(IT COSTS LESS)We are after a shakey start starting to get better.That means thay are younger and need coaching more.We are fifth now lets see how things go and get behind the players rather than dig them out.
