Official site says Danny Kedwell has put in a transfer request. The club say they have recieved no offers for him. Looks like Danny is trying to entice someone in for him.
Surprised there hasn't been any comment on this. I've loved Kedwell to bits and he's been a terrific player for us. No-one could accuse him of shirking lately either. I'm very disappointed by his transfer request though sounds like he has an agent or something sending him a bit big-time charly. I've no wish to deny him his ambitions and full-time football is a powerful magnet but a bit more loyalty might have been nice. He should remember where he's come from and who rescued him from the scrapheap. I don't know the money situation in respect of any fee we might expect but in an ideal world it might have been nice if he could have waited until the end of the season. I hope the Club has the strength to refuse him a move unless any offer is fair. If he settles for Conference National then he cheapens himself. A mixed reception if he plays for us again? I doubt it but I for one am not impressed. Oh well we're only supporters at the end of the day!

I hope keds dont play now. Battersby and Harper will do for me i know batters CHOSE us over eastleigh and others.
just cos its keds dont mean a thing... if they dont want to wear the shirt stick em on the bench and out them. just hope the hobbins and ade pimp danny now to every club and get the best deal and bring someone in who wants to play.
Adie has looked after keds and would get him a good move, what a slap in the moosh for adie.

Strange one this, a statement from Keds in the local rag a few weeks ago that he was in no rush and would be happy if he was still here at the end of the season. Add to this last week's local rag where Ade is quoted as being confident of keeping him since the majority of the scouts at the Fisher game were National Conference which is where we are aiming so he'd be no better off.
What has happened at PVR to change his mind?
Has Keds fallen out with Ade?
Is Ade not getting/going to get the support he needs to mount a push for promotion and has told Keds that?
The possibilities are endless. Perhaps someone will get the chance to ask Keds or Ade direct.
Not sure he would have played anyway unless they could find some sort of protection for his wound which is in a vulnerable position. Would you risk using a player you had in the shop window and had very recently had stitches out? I'm not sure I would do other than put him on the bench and bring him on only if it was absolutely necessary.
Don't want to add to your misery JgFc but Battersby is I believe 'tied' as he played for Chelmsford against Maidstone in the 1st round prior to arriving at PVR. Not sure about Steve Harper as I can't find a report on the Ashford Town (Middx) v Thurrock 3rd Qualifying Round tie to check out the teams.
I think we are going to be hard pressed to put 16 players out today as Daisy is suspended too don't forget. I hope I'm not dreaming that I saw Colchester had extended Lawrie Wilson's loan cos it looks like we are going to be hard pressed up front coupled with a significantly weakened midfield which means everyone is going to have to play out of their skins and we sure as hell are going to need a very strong defence.

NOTE TO KEDS... Sack your agent, 1 he will cost you money and 2 hes making you look a prize d1ck! You have played great, dont sour your time at Welling, get your arse out there, head down and keep scoring. We have had some great players go on to bigger and better things...
Steve Finnan, Paul Barron, Andy Townsend etc etc and none to my knowledge got Billy Big b0llocks and asked for a transfer. Do what you are good at and clubs will come in.

I agree. He has done us proud for nearly 2 seasons. He deserves his chance in the football league. He is obviously just trying to create interest from other clubs by putting himself up for grabs. I`m sure the Hobbins boys and maybe even Ade want him to leave now for a nice fat wad than move on in the summer for nothing.
If I want to have a pop at Kedwell I shall. Nothing to do with his playing ability or commitment on the field but take a look at the press Adie isn't impressed. I know supporters don't matter at the end of the day but I'm upset by his precipitive action which seems to have been encouraged by those around him feeding his ego.
I agree with Spitey. EVERYONE knows keds has more scouts than baden powell had!
There was no need for him to hand in a transfer request, Unless something has happened with the club as Bruno has said.
Keds has rocked team moral and made him self look big time charlie, probably all done via his newish agent. Hes been well looked after at Welling by Adie and he should have shown some professionalism and respect, knowing he will get a move very soon. Maybe hes scared that no ones come in for him in the transfer window, maybe that should tell him something?
