Is that a website? There's nothing on the Welling website and nothing on Welling social media.

Maybe and I believe more international games on the horizon as well...??

Personally I feel Banya has been a more than able deputy when called upon.

Morning Walter

Yes it's an important game in terms of putting Tue's result behind us and getting 3 points against a good team

Not good at all today but at least a point which is good considering Mills goal was our only shot on target. Nassim targeted from the first minute to the last and the joker ref only booked  the last foul in the 88th. He needs more protection as its happening more and more. We really need to look at distribution from midfield and I cant see how Mills is not starting lately?

Take a 90th minute equaliser all day long today though and always love it when time-wasting doesnt pay off. Not sure what the keeper was up to today? He didnt seem to want to leave the pitch and instead starting mouthing off?

Someone poured a pint into the keepers hat towards the end of the match. He didnt say much at the time but kicked off at the final whistle.

Not a great performance with neither keepers having to save a real shot on goal, but a point against another play off side has to be positive.

have to agree the ref was very poor / inconsistent, but credit to their fans I spoke to, very realistic and sports minded, even they thought their number 7 was pushing his luck.

Great to see Mills add some much needed physical presence upfront & was holding the ball up which helped. Officials terrible. Poor overall performance and fortunate get away with a point. Can't lose sight too play that bad against playoff team & not lose is a positive

Their 7 had one thing on his mind all day. If he had gone through with what he intended to do in the 1st half hed have seen Red. He made an attempt to rake Nas down his Achilles but pulled back at the last minute. A poor excuse for a footballer. Nas had absolutely no protection from the the officials all day. I have no problem with saying Wealdstone deserved to win that match. We got lucky. We all saw the ref. He was awful. Lost control very early on. He made terrible decisions against both sides. One thing is sure if Nas LGhoul doesnt get protected against thugs its a matter of time before he gets a bad injury. God forbid.

Terrible performance today and I think we were extremely lucky to get a draw. Their no7 was on a mission to cripple Nass but our players shouldve fronted up and started dishing it back. We allowed them to bully us and it looked like sometimes we were frightened to go in for challenges. The Ref was a complete joke and seemed totally out of his depth even at this level as he seemed scared to give anything our way. We hardly had any shots at goal let alone on target so to come away with a draw is a definite bonus..on to the next game

I believe they used their experience to play & bully the ref. Not giving them any yellows early on just played into their tactics. Nass obviously being targeted & will get badly hurt without more protection. Team mates need look after him better

On the Wealdstone FC fans Twitter account, they accused L'Ghoul of spitting at Sheppard (No. 7). Did anyone saw any such incident?

I couldn't understand the referee at all. Nassim was fouled three times in the first twenty minutes and even the Wealdstone press/social media bloke couldn't understand how their 7 hadn't been booked early on.

Then he gave two very soft bookings against us as the hacks at Nassim kept flying in.

Midway through the second half, Bradley Bubb wiped Nass out and he was very lucky to escape with a yellow card.

This was a more extreme version of what we are saying most weeks. Referees should be protecting him but they are not.

Mills made all the difference. I am yet to meet a Welling fan who rates Bradley Goldberg, yet he seems to get in the team every week. That said I hope his injury is not to bad.

50% based on this specific game against this opposition. Thought most of their team were on the small side & thought we'd score from set pieces

Apart from the fact that every set piece (bar Kiernan's miss at the end)  landed squarely on the head of their number five.

That's we'll fail to consistently maximise our play if we don't replace Jebb with decent replacement. Obviously easier said then done

I would love to get the match video and edit all the challenges on Nas that the ref didnt seem to think deserved a booking (along with our soft bookings). Get it out on social media, send to the FA, National League, refs association and make sure yesterdays idiot ref got a copy. Time to highlight the fact that clubs have a game plan to kick Nas off the park from the first minute and the refs are just allowing it.

I dont think it would have changed anything yesterday but there will be games it does.

Okay, not the greatest performance, but dont you just love a last minute equaliser my son and I were bouncing all over the park!

This looks like a tough league where anyone can beat anyone else, got to tough games like this out which we did. A point is a point and were still second in the table. Defensively Id like to see another experienced centre back, we need that creative midfielder and I think Mills and Paterson together could really work. King has got his hands full of injuries, maybe we just battle on?

I fell out of love with football for a lot of years due to saturation/hideous amounts of money etc... this level is re-kindling my love again, up the Wings

Definitely a game plan, and they took it to extremes almost like when Halifax targeted Beautyman all those years ago. Credit to Nassim is that he doesn't go hiding and made a great run late on that could have resulted in a goal.

Nice honest interview from Mills. Came across as a genuine guy who tries to give everything on the pitch, understands need score more and appreciates the supporters.

Well it felt like a win walking out on Saturday after such a late goal but it wasn't the best game I have ever seen at PVR!

I know it was an early kick off but, in the first half, it felt like a 9am kick off and our lads had just got out of bed?! Sloppy passing, second to every ball and getting bullied all over the pitch. Wealdstone were well on top and I was glad to only be the one down at half time. They clearly had a game plan to "frustrate" us and get stuck in to our wide players and, once again at this level, the players get scant protection from the officials. If you tap the ball away at a free kick or give a bit of backchat then you go in the book (which is not necessarily wrong) but if you cut someone in half with a tackle or deliberately take people out you get nothing (or at least you don't get anything until the 85th minute of the game by which time the damage has been done) They took it in turns to get at L'Ghoul and the ref did nothing about it until it was too late. Also it seemed like their number five was on the end of every high ball into the penalty area. They left him free to attack every set piece into their box and it worked to a tee. Good defending on his part but naïve attacking on ours. Surely we could have put someone up against him to at least restrict him getting to every ball - the only ball we played away from him was right at the end and Kiernan had a chance to score.

I disagree with the manager that it was "like the Alamo" in the second half. Whilst they weren't interested in attacking and we had all the territory and possession we were hardly cutting through them and creating chances. In fact I think the equaliser might have been our first effort on target and their keeper had more trouble looking after his cap than he did our attack. In fact after the goal was our best spell of the game and they were panicking and another five minutes and we might have found an (undeserved) winner. Mills did make a difference not least because he puts himself about and was prepared to get stuck in (as he always is) and you could see what that goal meant to him and the supporters at the end.

A two week break before the next competitive game which may or may not be a good thing. Some of the medium term injuries won't have gone away so there may be further changes in personnel. If we can't get more protection from the officials then we need to adapt quickly and find different ways of trying to win games because, if allowed to get away with it, I think the Wealdstone game plan will be adopted by quite a few sides especially when they come to PVR....

Up the Wings!

Surely, the idea of targeting talented players like L' Ghoul is to try to render them ineffective in one way or another? Also, if the fouls go unpunished, it could frustrate the victim into retaliation and an inevitable red card. As I posted earlier in the week, we must keep a video record of all the unpunished, and not suitably punished fouls on L'Ghoul and others and present it to the National League, referees' panels and the FA.

Ultimately, the only course of action which will prevent this behaviour will, one day, be legal action by a player or club against the referee and match officials and League in question and the FA who could be vicariously liable. It could be a claim for recompense for personal injury or lack of duty of care in that action within the laws of the game was not taken earlier to prevent challenges becoming increasingly injurious, or a club could sue over the loss of a prized player. Yes, football is a physical game but defenders should be taught the skills to defend within the spirit of the game, and become better players as a result, and not resort to behaviour which, off the football pitch, could in some circumstances be described as assault.
