Just thought I'd get this one started early!

The Wings Bar will be serving up two beers from Westerham Brewery: their Green Hop Scotney ale and their 1965 ESB.

As I understand it (I'll try and get confirmation!) the Wings Bar will open from 12:00 so people can watch the West Ham match before Wings v Eastleigh.

The Belle will be open at 11:00 and we understand we are preferential place for visiting Eastleigh fans. We will be pouring at least 10 beers as well as our usual range.

Look forward to coming down and here's hoping for victory for the Wings! (although I've already got a bed next Tuesday in Eastleigh just in case...)

Anyone who wins 4th round qualifier could get a 'buy' into round two including prize money, if they are last to be drawn out of the hat, thanks to the sad absence of Bury. I hope a lower league team get it.

Or even a 'bye' biggrin and the lucky team still receives the £36k prize money!!

If you wish to make some prize money then the betting odds have Eastleigh at Evens...

Absolutely massive price - got to be in the ACCA. If they score they win - simple

Just checked - Marathon and Betway have got them 23/20 !!!

Big game today. As has been aluded to the first goal could be crucial. We need to get behind the team from the start. Eastleigh don't score many goals but don't concede many either so I guess they would be good at grinding out a win.

Let's hope for some passion and fight from the lads.

I wonder if those who have backed Eastleigh to win will be getting behind the team from the start

I find it strange that I've heard little if no encouragement of our team before our biggest game of the season so far! I am looking forward to this and expect our players to have the hunger to win this!
Come on you wings!

Well its win/win either happy for the team or line your pockets...

Only issue with winning would be MG gets to line his pockets thus getting away with running the club like a complete shambles for a little while longer...

In answer to the posts above - of course we will be getting behind the team from the start, and during, and right till the end.....and I will be there myself to ensure we do.

However, that doesn't mean you can't recognise a good value bet!

Apologies I really only bet on horses and I've yet to back a horse and not want it to win. Clearly it's different with football

A lot of negativity around at the moment, and everyone is entitled to their view. However, what is inescapable is that Welling United is our Club and a bit twee I know, but when they put on the red shirt with our badge on it, then for 90 or so minutes we should give all the support we can. If used correctly, the squad certainly has it in them to to give the opposition a run for their money. All other matters should be put aside for 5.15pm and, with respect, I sincerely hope that all who backed against us lose their money!

The FA cup money will just reduce the deficit come the end of the season, certainly wont be trousered by anybody.

I just hope we give it a decent go today after last week, we do have some quality in the team. Just need to be more adaptable with formations and tactics.

Can't make the game unfortunately and I'm like a lucky charm. In 15 games at PVR, I've yet to see Welling lose.

Really hoping for a return to form and a good win.

Sounds like Eastleigh have been poor and Welling have had the most and best chances. Commentator is thinking full-time Eastleigh will have better levels of fitness and that will be telling.

A cracking effort from the team today. Cannot fault a single player for the workrate.

Welling by far the better side but didn't take one of the 3 or 4 chances they had. 2 big moments in the second half, Cook should have had one of the most blatant penalties I've ever seen, and Coombes should have had one late on. Onto the replay Tuesday but little to complain about!

We were the better side, had more chances, and should have had at least one penalty. A good shift put in by everyone. Now we need to do it all again, but put the ball in the net, on Tuesday.

Really????? Jesus christ, that's the thing these days I suppose...its so bad most the time just accept mediocrity.

Not every player put a shift in at all, 9 did.

Coombes and goldberg were absolutely fffing shocking. As was stated by various crowd members so why people cant put it on here I dont know..

Coombes lays on the floor every time hes moved 5 yards to make it.look like hes done something and goldberg wasnt good enough. If they were would be celebrating a win..

Well played the other 9.

Goldburg was blowing out his @rse after 60, yet Jebb went off.
I would have (personally) have had the bollocks and swapped Goldburg following that serious injury the Eastleigh bloke sustained.
Speaking of which, there are some morbid f...ers amoungst to us, who need to peer through the fence for considerable time at the incident.

I cannot accept your use of the word mediocrity. Whatever your views regarding Coombs and Goldberg the team as a whole put in a real shift today. People may view their efforts differently to you and I for one thought that the TEAM as a whole  deserves credit and, for want of a one maybe two poor refereeing decisions, would be in the next round of the cup today.

I dont think Jebb has played that much time for a long time. Sensible taking him off really.

I would have also subbed Goldberg but no real other option. Ref had a Weston

But The Team didn't did they, 9 players did and two...one of whom is the highest paid were terrible. Wouldn't of needed referee decisions if was a different story.

Eastleigh were terrible themselves, half their fans couldn't believe their luck, not just because of the 1 stonewall penalty (the other was not) but how bad our strikers are.

I tend to agree with Jamison. Yes the ref has cost us with that blatant pen but Goldberg and Coombes were both very poor for differing reasons.  Eastleigh were there for the taking.

Super draw!
How much is a replay worth?
As for coombes....always looks lazy. But does mostly box clever, if the pen had been given....he'd not be mentioned

Drawing vs a Conference team albeit a poor one is a good result, well done all. Hopefully a good draw on Monday and we can go at them at their place. Would be good if a coach was going etc?

I disagree. Even if we were rock bottom of the National we would look at Eastleigh at home as a winnable game. And Eastleigh were nothing special. Granted the effort was there but we just are nt winning the tight matches this season.

Just worth mentioning that getting to Silverlake is very easy, and especially so as there's a half-hourly express train to Airport Parkway. It only takes about 65 minutes, too. Trying to push a coach through M3 and M25 traffic would be a bit much - especially near rush hour. The last train back to London to connect with a train to Welling is at 22:08 from Airport Parkway; so admittedly that looks in doubt if it's extra time and penalties. If that happens, nobody will be left behind I'm sure. The absolute last train to London is at 23:08 from Airport Parkway, into Waterloo at 01:11. You will have to walk to Charing Cross and get a night bus for that...

I've just read in the programme that once again our club has agreed that an opposition team can slash the price of admission to a cup fixture with us for Tuesdays replay. This likely means two things; 1. our share of the gate receits goes down 2. Eastleigh have more of their fans behind them. Absolutely clueless.

A great effort by 9 players - I'm in agreement with J here. Daddy's little soldier bottled 3 major one on ones, and Coombesy has obviously had enough and is happy picking up a pay cheque because that's 4 times I've watched him this season and there has been precious little effort in any of those games

Thought our midfield did really well. Best display I've seen from Cook, and if this wasn't an advert for Jebb starting every game then I don't know what is. His set pieces are head and shoulders above just about everything I've seen at this level, and every dangerous cross and through ball seemed to have his name on it

That lack of cutting edge probably means we've lost our best chance to progress and there are still defensive set piece wobbles, but I'll be heading down there on Tuesday hoping Eastleigh can be that **** for a second time
