Hello all. It occurs to me that 'United' is a fairly rare name in the world of non league football. Other than Welling I can only think of Boston and Oxford. My question, as mentioned in the topic, is why did Welling use the United in their name - why not Town etc? My guess is that the United comes from a merge...
