I am told that we made our payment to the HRMC this week and have paid February in advance. Now we feel that we have a deal in place club to talk to the league about lifting the embargo. Good news for a change.
Not that it bothers us, but there was the annual chaos of the transfer window last night. It does seem that the elite part of football has indeed finally lost touch with all reality...£50 million for an injury-hit Spanard, £35 million for a player quite unproven at that level and who could be in jail thi...
I appreciate that we have a plan with the HMRC but I will still be anxious until I know that we have actually paid our first lump sum this week. I hope we are told as soon as it happens, but I am not holding my breath.
I just wanted to register my disgust about what happened to me on Saturday when I took my 2 kids to Welling, first I gave them £12 to get in only to be told that as they were accompanied it was £3 each, not that they were happy at me getting the change of course. Then within no more than 1 metre I was stung by Sher...
When trying to separate the issues in the WUSA Race Night thread I accidentally deleted the whole thread. It was not my intention to do so and attempts are being made to restore it. -- Edited by bruno on Sunday 6th of February 2011 09:20:22 AM
I am currently reading the Bromley Boys and a mighty fine read it is too. I was intrigued that it has a copy of a press pass on the inside cover for a game in November 1969 - could have been 1968. It says the game was at the Welling Ground and when you read the book it is clearly a game against Bexley. I was wonder...
The team tried hard but we got sucked into a physical battle with a team that was always going to win in that department. We tried to play in on the ground but as they wouldn't lets us we tried to compete and to be honest we looked like we couldnt compete with their game plan. On only naming two subs I can assum...
In view of the club's statement that agreement of a payment schedule for the arrears has finally been agreed with HMRC, does this mean that the embargo can at last be lifted? If not, what exactly does the club need to do to have this done?
Do we still have one or has he resigned. If we do what is going on about raising income ,or if he has gone, why was we not informed and when are we going to appoint a new one . Also where is the new Constitution that was promised and when is the vote for the lenders rep going to happen. -- Edited by Bubbles on W...
Hello, Just spoken to Barry, the bottle bar will be open from 2.30 until kick-off and then at half time. There will be the usual Becks and Bud and hopefully some bottles of real ale. Cheers Deano
Dear all, Don't forget WUSA meeting coming up Saturday I think this maybe in Upstairs in the clubhouse, meeting due to start at 5.30, should have agenda later in the week. If you are not a member I would urge you to join, this is truly the best way for supporters to have one voice that will have impact on the...
Hopefully a few down there to see a young Wings X1 in the kent cup.

The WUSA RACE NIGHT is in need of a Tote person to help on 19th February. Apparently "NO" experience is needed as we shall be shown what to do on the night. Please PM me if you are interested. Thanks

And while manager Stringer is naturally pleased with the team's progress, he is wary of allowing complacency to creep in.
"We have some massive games coming up, especially on the road," he told the Times.
"We've played a lot of the big boys at home and we still hav...
Is everyone on the one change from Paddington tomorrow or are you braving the change 3 or 4 times route?
Should have a few there as usual, will try and get some updates in here, 3 points tomorrow and we could close the gap, with Woking at Braintree under Garry Hill.
COYW!!!
If Cumbers doesnt get it he is very unlucky. That said i dont think hes a shoe in for our POM as his goals will see him go close to the League Award, I think Jamie Day has been very good since Xmas.
