This match on Tue 29th March clashes with England v Ghana at Wembley. Good enough case to try and shift it to Mon or Wed?? Only a friendly but Ghana are a good side, likely to be on ITV and a sell out.
By the 3/4 stage of the season the player of the year is not normally a long list however such is the side we have this season that this is not the case and I doubt that it is going to be much easier by game 40. I've got 5 players marginally ahead but it could easily be 6 or 7. Its going to be a real toughie.
With Charlton playing on Friday night and having 25,000 at the Valley last week, the club should have offered the Weston game for a discount - that would have really bumped up the gate. I didn't see any posters around the ground either saying 'watch the rugby on the big screen in the bar after the match'....
