Macclesfield has just signed a new winger from Ashton United on a short-term contract and in time to face us. It is incredible how often our opponents this season have made last-minute signings and how these players have played a prominent part in matches against us.
For once, in a long time, we seem to have a squad big enough to allow rotation of fresh players during the busy Xmas and New Year match schedule. Quite a blessing compared with our threadbare squad last Christmas.
